    No matter whether the DFAing was based on BS or was justifiable, I judge it addition by subtraction. Baseball's a business like any other and it's always about the money. Hanley was paid millions here in Boston and for the most part he didn't earn it. And I'm also glad that the PABLO/HANLEY era is finally over. The SOX definitely didn't miss Hanley tonight and it definitely makes Cora's job of managing a lot easier.

    It's really unbelievable the SOX dominance in inter-league play over the years.

    Based on how well the SOX do against NL teams, when they go to Houston Thursday, they should make themselves believe that the Astros are still a NL team.

    Seeing more Moreland is a good thing. DFA'ing Hanley has made Cora's job so much easier.

    Barnes hasn't been a slouch either this year. Barnes, Kelly, and Kimbrel is a damn good threesome. F'ng C. Smith.

    No; Barnes would have been in either way. I believe the bridge to Kimbrel is Barnes and Kelly from the 7th inning on in most games.

    BETTS is much better than ALL STATE.

    No disrespect to Kimbrel, but right now I'd say that Kelly is the best pitcher in the SOX BP.

    Nice job by E-rod. I just wish he had more faith in his pitches and quit nibbling so much. He should be going 7 innings at this stage of his career.

    Well, the SOX better keep, at least, Sandy. They do need at least one catcher.

    Great play by Devers. Devers' defense continues to improve and may be the least of the SOX problems as the season marches on.
