  1. He was definitely part of the problem.
  2. Go Bruins! You were referring to the BRUINS?
  3. Pitching only 5 innings is fully bad, especially with an overworked pen.
  4. The BP is not the greatest, but c'mon, the SOX starters have been the real problem. Most BP's, when they're exposed as much as the SOX pen, will s*** their pants.
  5. Waldren leads the SOX with 3 wins.
  6. Thank goodness he can hit. Er, what's that? Nevermind.
  7. After this 23rd game by the SOX the starters have a total of 2 wins. The only team I'm sure of who had fewer wins by starters after the 23rd game is the '88 Orioles that started the season at 0-21.
  8. JD made that look easy. Btw, because Sale only went 5, the BP is forced to work overtime. That especially hurts the SOX because in the 2nd game the SOX will be lucky to get 4 innings from VAL.
  9. I'll be DVR'ing the second game so I can watch the BRUINS hopefully win game 7.
  10. That shot by Linn would've been a dinger in Yankem sandbox.
  11. Lin has been working with Veritek at the catching position to serve as an emergency 3rd catcher for the SOX.
  12. Pearce was a great pick-up for the SOX last year. This year demonstrates why he's traded so often.
  13. Hard it ball percentage. MLB has determined that any ball hit 95mph or higher is considered a hard hit ball. Mookie has a hard hit ball % of 100 today.
  14. It just magnifies how pitch-poor the SOX minor league has been for years.
  15. Boyd came into the game with a 2.96 ERA and was 5th in the AL in K's. He's certainly more 'special' than any starter the SOX have right now.
  16. Pitching 5 innings does not qualify as a quality start for me; especially from the guy who's supposed to be the Ace. Another game to wear out the BP and expose them more than they should be.
  17. Betts getting his groove on.
  18. One thing's for sure; the SOX can never have JBJ and Leon in the line-up in the same game.
  19. Sometimes the opposing pitcher has something to do with the offense being slow. Boyd is a good pitcher.
  20. BRUINS have won all the even numbered games. Please tell me a 7 is an even number.
  21. Glasnow is just another example of Tampa's ability to continually put excellent young starters on the mound. Thank you Cash for removing him early.
  22. Great win by the SOX with very good work from the BP. Having recorded the game earlier, I just finished watching it. The nice thing about recording the game is you can whiz thru the boring commercials and also whiz thru Price's slower than molasses time between pitches. After the 1st two innings I just couldn't take any more of his slow pace so I engaged the fast forward feature on the recorder and even then Price looked slow. Anyway, there's no excuse for taking 5 minutes between pitches. Kind of like watching lime green paint dry. Note to DD. If you trade JBJ now, you should be able to get 2 bag of balls and a set of catching equipment. If you wait a few weeks, you'll just get one bag of balls w/o the catching equipment. Btw, nice at bat by VAZ to drive in the winning run. He's been pretty clutch lately.
  23. That the SOX starters have a total of 2 wins after 21 games, well, I don't know what that is.
  24. 6 games out with 141 games remaining. Not mathematically eliminated yet.
