  1. My bad. I always thought that rule was to prevent double plays. At least, if nothing else, I learned something today.
  2. Well, all I can say after this disappointing loss is GO BRUINS!
  3. You are correct, sir. Thanks for educating me.
  4. Strange the infield fly rule wasn't called.
  5. Note to Cora: Except when Leon's catching, please bat JBJ 9th in the line-up. Btw, Cora, JBJ and Leon should never be in the same line-up. Here's an amazing stat; JBJ's OPS is lower than Ted Williams' BA in 1941.
  6. They may have used it all up last year.
  7. Another one I didn't think of was catcher's interference. I would have included error, but the batter actually has to hit the ball for that to happen.
  8. But then you put the go ahead run on 2nd. However, with JBJ batting next I tend to agree.
  9. Needed a wild pitch, passed ball or balk. The Rays' catcher put on a clinic.
  10. The guy I dis gets a hit; the guy I praise K's. Oh, well.
  11. Alright! Devers comes thru nicely.
  12. OB:"Liveliest the crowd has been today." No shite; hard to be lively when your team has 0 runs.
  13. Hans Solo, but BETTer than nothing.
  14. It would be better if it wasn't true.
  15. I believe the word 'pathetic' will be employed at least a few hundred times this season. I think it's up to 50 already.
  16. The good news is the SOX can't lose 3 to the Rays in this series.
  17. Sounds like my dating life.
  18. The word 'hitter' is over-used. Until they prove they can actually hit, players should be referred to as batters.
  19. Funny, if Kinsler doesn't make that error in game 4, the SOX sweep the Dodgers and there's no game 5, where Pearce went crazy.
  20. As JBJ enters the batter's box, OB says: "Good day for a left-handed hitter the way the wind is blowing." True, except JBJ isn't a left-handed hitter; he's a left-handed batter.
  21. Walden has the same number of wins (3) as the combined total of the SOX starters.
  22. The SOX have to be leading the league in average number of pitches per inning.
