  1. O's still have a shot at losing this one.
  2. Kelly has a rubber arm, unfortunately he also has a rubber head. IOW, it's not a physical problem with Kelly, it's a head issue. Not sure how a pitching coach w/o a degree in psychiatry can deal with that.
  3. He has a nice level swing and keeps his bat in the hitting zone longer than most hitters.
  4. Just looked this up. After this season the O's still have 4 years left on their contract with Davis with 92 million remaining. I doubt the Dodgers will bail them out.
  5. Also, on the positive side, I feel that SWI has again proven he is a viable back-up for Leon.
  6. The only good news about this game, and I had to think long and hard, is that Kimbrel will get the night off. That is all.
  7. Wasn't it just a few years ago that the Yankems had one of the fewest prospects in baseball?
  8. And Tanaka is pitching an 8 inning shutout. I guess thats more than enough s*** news.
  9. He was worth a lot in June. Now? Not so much.
  10. Cora continues to be one batter too late. He seems to have made it an art form.
  11. Having POM and Kelly in the same game is not a winning formula. Btw, does that qualify as understatement of the year?
  12. DD, I know you know this. How's the Fiers' talks going with Detroit?
  13. Right now the SOX have a 3.5 man rotation, because Johnson will hardly ever give the SOX more than 5 innings.
  14. I read a post earlier about the SOX adopting a 6 man rotation as the season progresses, It may be more realistic at this point to adopt a 4 man rotation.
  15. Who knows? Maybe POM suffers from severe depression. He sure looks like it.
  16. It might help his game if he just showed a little emotion on the mound. It doesn't have to be John Lackey emotion, but, damn, just look like you're happy to be out there.
  17. Whatever happens to POM, he already has enough money to live comfortably the rest of his life, as long as he stays away from drugs.
  18. This is an important game for the O's to lose, if they want to be assured of the number 1 draft pick.
  19. POM's body language on the mound reminds me of my own when I'd arrive at work on Monday morning.
  20. I'm more concerned when the SOX medical staff says it's day to day.
  21. Be nice if Pearce had 3rd base experience. Oh, well, the SOX will have to bite the bullet at 3rd base.
  22. Remember Doubront. A spitting image.
  23. Just substitute the name Farrell, and that sentence was used many times over the previous 4 years.
