    The SOX have faced two damn good pitchers the last two games. Sometimes one has to grudgingly tip the cap to them. Also, the SOX had some bad luck on a few hard hit balls tonight.

    Because both Kelly and Barnes throw so many pitches to complete an inning, they can very seldom be used for two innings.

    I guess Kinsler will have to hit a 2 run homer to tie this one.

    25 pitches for Barnes. Well, tomorrow is a day off.

    I doubt we'll see Betts based on Cora's past practices.

    The Phillies are 10 games over .500 in 1st place and 5.5 games ahead of the Nats. The SOX are 42 games over .500 in 1st place and 6 games ahead of the Yankems. Doesn't seem fair does it?

    Good point. JD is a line drive hitter who hits HR's; similar to Pujols.

    The throw strikes memo appears to have never reached our BP. Effective as the SOX pen has been, they do throw a lot of pitches before they end the inning. A recurring theme.

    Atom balls that inning. Btw, the Monster is probably robbing JD of more HR's than it is helping him.

    I think most of us. if asked before the game, would have said yes to 2 runs in the 5th with POM starting.

    No run support for the starter. Mets are known for that.

    That's why the score is only 2-0. POM didn't improve, the opposition's offense got worse.

    Interesting to find out the future of the POM.

    And similar to POM, Dice had that one great season for the SOX.

    Remember recently when Tito and the BP coach got confused and sent out the wrong reliever, who was promptly shelled.

    He has kept the SOX in the game with all sorts of trickery and things that go bump in the night.

    This would be a good game for POM to end his career with.

    I know the offense has been frustrating since yesterday, which Nola had a lot to do with. And Arietta isn't a bum. The only thing I can come up with to defend this team is , wait for it, wait for it, 75-33.
