I'm guessing Cora feels Mitch will get better pitches to hit with JD batting behind him. Personally, I believe JD should bat 3rd every game he starts.

Agreed. On this current SOX team the chances of getting injured are high enough without pushing the odds. -
Just finished watching a documentary about Tony Gwynn on MLB. A great ballplayer and an even better human being.
