  1. Kinsler is Pedey's double.
  2. One more positive about tonight's win; the SOX didn't have to use Kimbrel. He should be well rested.
  3. I'm sure he'll be back. Magic only lasts so long.
  4. Considering Sale didn't start, considering the SOX have had trouble with Sabathia, and considering the SOX were down 4 runs before SoxHop could even get a beer, this was a truly great win. One of the best of the season. Brian Johnson has been a light in an injured tunnel.
  5. According to our Yankem representative it was the ump that done it.
  6. Theeeeeeeeeeee Yankems lose.
  7. Agreed. That's why I posted you can't blame Betts. It's a business called "Show me the money."
  8. There's few things more enjoyable than listening to the Yankems' booth when they're getting pounded. Especially, when they were so happy earlier in the game.
  9. More negative than our game thread? We must be slipping.
  10. Just heard that today the SOX FO told Betts they wanted him to play his entire career here and offered him a long term contract. Betts said thanks, but no thanks, he'll go year to year. Sad, that's it's always about the money, even when the money offered is in the multi-millions. Can't blame Betts, when it was the owners who made all these obscene contracts possible. I've said this before and I'll say it again; Charlie Finley was the smartest owner in the history of baseball. He saw the future and said "see ya."
  11. A few years ago I posted a big THANK YOU to the Dodgers' organization for cleaning up the mess here in Boston. Now I want to post a big THANK YOU to both the Toronto and LA Angels' organizations.
  12. Anyway, with Mitch having the sore knee, it's a win-win going with Pearce.
  13. Cora's the manager, but I believe it doesn't take a genius to keep a hot hitter in the line-up. And maybe Cora will. Or he won't.
  14. Funny thing about solo HR's; whether they go 500 feet or 315 feet, they only count as one run.
  15. I don't think anyone s/b surprised about Kinsler. He's been good his whole career. Getting him was a steal.
  16. Only ugly if one is a Yankem fan. I think it's quite beautiful and I hope tomorrow is just as beautiful. I live in Yankem country here in central NY and Yankem fans are more annoying than mosquitos.
  17. Hopefully, Pearce starts tomorrow. But, with Cora, one never knows.
  18. Looks like the SOX just needed a visit by the Yankems to get the offense going again.
  19. Wouldn't be surprised. It's a regular MASH unit. Injury prone team? Definitely. Except for JBJ, who is tough as nails.
  20. Michael Kaye just mentioned that the SOX BP is their weakness. Yup, maybe if the SOX could acquire Holder, they'd be much improved.
  21. Lost in all the excitement is Kinsler. Another great pick-up by DD, along with Pearce.
  22. Relievers are day to day. When they say box of chocolates, they're talking about relief pitchers.
  23. Except for the Yankem SS, he'd have had a great 5.
  24. Kelly, Brasier, Thornburg, and ? for innings 6-9.
