    It's easy to see why Sale jumped at that 5 year extension. The Sale that the SOX traded for a few years ago no longer exists. He's gonna have to recreate himself from a fire-balling pitcher into an average fastball and change-up pitcher. Perhaps by doing this, he can pitch a complete season.

    I wonder if 'DO DAMAGE' was inspired by Dave Dombrowski's initials? Kudos to DD for picking up Eovaldi and Pearce before the trade deadline. A true stroke of genius. My vote for GM of the year.

    Btw, just how appropo was it that Machado made the final out and ended up on one knee? What the SOX pitching did to Machado in this series hurt him worse than being hit by 10 pitches.

    The best team in MLB won the WS. That doesn't always happen. Just ask the 2001 Mariners.
