  1. Nunez actually broke the SOX solo HR streak last night.
  2. I have no problem with Nunez pinch hitting tonight.
  3. Maybe I should have said the scheduling is great if one is retired.
  4. To the few of us who are watching the hockey PO's, the scheduling is great. BRUINS play at 8:00PM tomorrow and SOX at 1:00PM tomorrow.
  5. Probably season ticket holders.
  6. Like the idea, but not gonna happen here.
  7. Ironic that Brasier was probably the reason Kelly was let go. Now they're both being used for mop up duty.
  8. Both the O's and KC are on pace to go 50-112 this season. Definitely need expansion.
  9. I don't think it was his back. He was in a slump, which even Mike Trout gets into once in a while.
  10. Btw, as great a defensive CF that Joe was, his brother Dom was even better.
  11. Joe was the better all-around player. When Ted was in the outfield, he was practicing his swing. He would have been the perfect DH.
  12. True. It's funny in that during the period Joe D had his 56 game hitting streak, Ted had a higher batting average.
  13. And E-rod was E-fficient.
  14. As of late Chavis has been more valuable with his glove than his bat. Who saw that coming?
  15. It appears that after this game both KC and the O's will be 19-41. Wasn't that the year Teddy Ballgame hit .406?
  16. Pinch hitting seems to agree with Nunez.
  17. Definitely agree with that. But I will admit back in the 80's when I did watch a lot of NBA games, I thought that of all the major sports, the NBA would have the best chance of keeping the talent level high. I was wrong about that, also.
  18. The SOX right now are like a person whose been shot 6 times. Where do you start to stop the bleeding.
  19. Thanks, YAZ. Sometimes I can be serious.
  20. Based on the number of terrible teams in MLB, the sensible thing to do would be, instead of talking about expansion, the talk should be about contraction. There's just not enough available talent to feed 30 teams. This also holds true in the 3 other major sports. But because everything is decided by money, this will never happen. And there probably will be more expansion. Truly unfortunate for real sports' fans.
  21. I'm guessing that KC fans are paying minor league prices for tickets.
  22. Yup, I just corrected that.
  23. Sorry. A quality start entails 6 full innings. My bad. Let's call it a fine start.
  24. Credit given where credit due. A quality start by E-rod.
  25. I don't see any team reaching the PO's with a weak BP.
