    As far as the minor league system is concerned, going into this season the SOX had only one prospect in the top 100. That was Chavez at 79.

    I do love hockey and I do find the NBA boring. College basketball, IMO, is much more interesting than NBA. Go Bruins!

    I just noticed that Walden leads the SOX pitchers in wins with 2.

    Different strokes for different folks. Hell, some people even think soccer, tennis and golf are exciting to watch.

    Just to prove a point that ML ballplayers are overly protected to the detriment of the game.

    In my time of following the SOX they've had two excellent RH power hitters; Jim Rice and Manny Ramirez. JD now brings that total to three.

    What is the status on Beni? If he's put on the IL, I wonder if the SOX will bring up Chavez?

    I agree 100%. All these rule changes were made to benefit the players and the organizations. The fans, as usual, were left out of the equation.

    Not sure having Pedey as DH is going to cure SOX offensive woes.

    The only comment I'll make regarding the take-out slide rule is why aren't ML ballplayers wearing dresses? I'm sure Ty Cobb would second that.

    The SOX offensive, defensive, and pitching stats are appropo for a last place team.

    SWI named Mark McGwire as his favorite athlete. That would be like me naming Rosie Ruiz as my favorite marathon runner.
