  1. The highlights so far are a hit foot and a GS.
  2. If JBJ isn't the worst hitter as an everyday ballplayer in MLB, he's definitely in the conversation.
  3. Feet don't fail me now.
  4. A crap umpire behind the plate. What a surprise.
  5. There's two good things about Porcello. 1) he's always available to pitch when it's his turn, and 2) he's a pretty good hitter. That's it.
  6. Actually, there's a pretty good size crowd at the mausoleum today.
  7. Of course you aren't sure. You're a Yankem fan who hangs out in a SOX forum.
  8. That's a HR of GRAND proprotions.
  9. Morton insalted the SOX in the top of the 1st.
  10. Actually, compared to JBJ and Leon, Lin is Fred Lynn.
  11. Cora is resting VAZ for the WS. Seriously, why bench a player when he's hot?
  12. Interesting that 2 of the 3 teams with the most points during the regular season have already been eliminated. There's a very good chance that by Sunday night all 3 will have been eliminated.
  13. Btw, I love you Pedey, but for the good of the team, please consider retirement.
  14. Just finished watching the SOX beat Tampa in a game I recorded earlier so that I could watch the BRUINS lose. A tale of two baseball teams; one team is good, but not as good as their won/lost record. The other team, not so good, but not as bad as their won/lost record. If the SOX would bat JBJ 9th in the order, they would resemble a NL team, although I know there are pitchers in the NL who can hit better than JBJ. It's too bad Chaviz can't play CF. However, I'd like to see him get a shot at either 2nd or 3rd base, although I understand his glove work isn't great. But, then, neither is Dever's or Nunez's.
  15. If Who's on first, then Tomorrow's pitching.
  16. JD, the best hitter on the SOX, gets more at bats hitting 3rd. Simple math.
  17. I'll be Tivoing this game because the BRUINS are playing game 5 tonight. Still hate seeing JD batting 4th;he should be batting 3rd.Also, Betts s/b leading off. C'mon, Cora, get your head out of your azz.
  18. I've been watching the Cubs' game and they put up on the screen a stat I'd never seen before. It's called % of hard hit balls. Hard hit meaning anything 95+mph. Someone on the Cubs was leading the NL at 50%. They didn't show the AL leaders. I don't know if that's a new stat or if it's been around a while. Either way, I think it's helpful in breaking down a players approach at the plate.
  19. One last thing. 'Stone Hands' Nunez's inability to catch Bogie's toss to second base last night cost Eovaldi a run and about 20 extra pitches. IOW, that error cost Eovaldi another full inning of work. So, if I had to pick one play that cost the SOX the game last night, it was that one. Please DFA Nunez.
  20. Eovaldi looked good for his 6 innings, but then he always looks good against the Yankems. Btw, as bad as it was losing, getting beat by 'penis head' made it even worse.
  21. Just finished watching this loss. Had Tivo'd the game while watching the BRUINS win. The SOX are truly a terrible team in bad need of a real 2nd baseman. Also, a team that may have the worst hitting starting outfielder in MLB. I don't have to name him, it's obvious. Well, maybe I better name him, JBJ. Didn't want you to think I meant Betts, although he's looking more like a bowler than a baller. Baltimore will probably prevent this team from duplicating 2014, but it might be close. Oh well, if you keep breathing the scent of 2018, it might help overcome the stench of 2019.
