  1. Yes. I would much prefer to go after young pitching talent starting to bloom, but I don't see many teams willing to deal that kind of pitching talent?
  2. LOL :0 well played Moon
  3. https://www.facebook.com/124114250412/posts/10164748084985413/ This would be exciting! Hope I didn't step on someone else's post! If so, remove this.
  4. I'm encouraged by Tek's increased presence in the dugout!
  5. Yep! You nailed it. Whatever mistakes he's made, if the players are happy about it, that means everything! I'm ok with the fact that the Sox may have a few rough years on this re-build. I can deal with a team on the mend, scrapping for every win. I just want to see them scrapping again. Giving their all for a guy they believe in. One possible signal here? Does anybody think that Cora takes this job without the promise of something to work with? To me, it signals that ownership and management are going to make some moves to give Cora a legit shot at a rotation and lineup that has a legitimate shot at being competitive. No. Blockbuster deals are almost certainly off the table, but I have to believe that they will do their best to make some reasonable moves to give Cora a s*** at being a legitimate underdog competitor. I'm good with that!
  6. I feel like that poor jilted bastard who lost his girl. Oh Mookie. Yeh.. I guess I want you to be happy, but a big part of me wanted your world to be crushed. Is it really that wrong to have wanted to see that once oh so adorable subtly freckled face to smash into a wall... missing horribly that catch... plinking off your now flailing glove, into the seats behind you. Scoring the winning run in game 7.... I'm not bitter I just wanted him to suffer a humiliating loss. Feel that bitter pain... & come running back to me. You can tell me. Is that really oh so bad? I know he's moved on. I get it. He's found somebody else. I know. I get it. Its not like he's the only guy out there? Yeh... I'm gonna start dating again. Still... He would have looked great in a heap... Below that wall. Nursing a bloody nose, knowing he was never going to buy that ring. :'(
  7. I think this directly speaks to his problems being more with the head than body. As moon says, his baserunning instincts are horrible. I'm afraid the kid is simply either not that bright, or he struggles with focus. For me, baserunning often exposes a player as being a poor thinker and poor planner. It is the same with his hitting. He lacks the ability to adjust to how smart pitchers are pitching to him, and he seems to have an almost endless inability to pick up on the outside slider or high and outside FB. One thing... he IS VERY consistent.
  8. oh yeh! It happened... The Yanks have been slayed! Good on you TB!
  9. It's pathetic I know!!! But, I can't help rooting against the Yankees
  10. I think giving Cora a 1 year deal is the right way to go. If the year continues to be a s*** show, I go with Ben Affleck. He has made a comeback with a decent sports movie, and deserves a shot? Besides.... In his last appearance at Fenway, it's fair to say that he was wasted. I think he can do much better?
  11. GOD I hate the Lakers!
  12. Celtics will win this series if they keep Walker, JB, & MS in the flow... especially down the stretch. JB has MAD hops & is the most athletic player out there at any time. If they keep him in the flow, they win. If it's JT in isolation? They lose. JT is going to be GREAT, but right now, he is just a young player who is barely in that top tier.
  13. Celtics 117 - 106 Heat Simple BALANCED offense JB 26 JT 25 KW 21 MS 20 Theis 8 GH 6 The Celtics have the fire power to win the East. LAL or Denver? Now that's a tall order.
  14. STrangely enough ... Despite Swi's lunatic rants, I think the Celtics have more talent. However, it seems they are all standing around in the second half, waiting for Tatum to play 1 on 3 ball. It's bizzare. They may wake up & go on a tear, but they are still 2 players away from a championship. Still love these kids. Its a bit painful to watch though.
  15. Celtics dominated game 1 against Miami. Pissed it away? TRUE! But your NBA analysis is as weak as your Fandom. Patriots? MAJOR PROPS! Pretty weak game, but they showed character. Good on them! I may not love Cam's crazy stylings, but he has shown nothing but hard work and heart. He may be crazy, but now he's OUR Crazy! Hey! Gronk was batshit crazy, and we loved him! Now.... I LOVE CAM! I've LOVED the Pats, Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox for most of my 57 years! NOTHING would ever change that. Swi-ghost likely became a Sox fan in 2004. Likely was once a Celtic fan? Keep chirping Swi-ghost. Hell.... I HATE the Yankees, Lakers, Canucks, & .... Bills... fill in the team, but I have madd respect for all. I want them all great, because it makes the wins that much sweeter after these brutal seasons. Truth? Guys like you make the championships that much sweeter! Quietly shoving it up your arss.
  16. Yeh! I have to agree. The Celtics definitely pissed this win away, but to mock Tatum, who dominated, is simply ignorant. This guy is a Red Sox fan? can we trade him for another Yankee fan friend for Pinstripes? This guy sounds like a real winner?
  17. LOL :0 Yes it would be nice. Doesn't help the underlying problem of me thinking he was the son of former Red Sox Brian Michael Daubach (99 - 2002), but yeh.. LOL :0 It would be great to be able to edit the OP. BUT ... back to the substance behind this sh__-show post. I like this kid's potential. So, maybe he won't hit 78 HR's next year, with 120+++ rbi's, but I can't wait to see where this kid's Red Sox career goes! Even if he is a bastard without Brian Daubach as his dad.
  18. your optimism is absolutely captivating
  19. Celtics won a VERY UGLY Game 7 against a very respectable Raptor team. Jalen Brown, Walker, & others will really need to step up if they hope to compete with the dominant Jimmy Butler & co. on the Heat! STILL.... Tatum IS ABSOLUTELY a rising star, who has the potential to become everything Pierce was & perhaps more? The kid is damned good. He & the team fell asleep in this game 7, and will not compete with the Heat if they play like they did in this UGLY Game 7. They will bounce back! I absolutely love Brad Stevens! Love Walker, but he was flat bad in game 7. I think if we had a great C & a healthy Hayward, the C's would be tough to beat. Theis is good, & Kanter is ok... BUT.. we are Center away from a Title?
  20. the scary thing.... This thread was facetious.... but I really did think this was Daubach's kid. okee dokee. .. I really am going back to bed.
  21. ok... I'm going back to bed! Now you're telling me that Bobby Dalbec is not Brian Daubach's kid? What the hell is going on here? Who the hell are these 2020 Red Sox? Goodnight Irene. This distance learning s*** is really getting to me....
  22. LOL :0 Thundar korrekted me in the geer grindding thred. I told him... wich is skary tru, that I cwestioned the speling in the Tittle, so I guggaled it.
  23. Would 99 - 2002 be good enough reasons to love his Red Sox dad?
  24. better!
  25. THAT was good!
