  1. DirectTV, or DISH Extra Innings. Any game, any time, anywhere! It's a must! NESN for most Sox games. It is a must for those of us living out of New England!!!!
  2. It's frustrating as hell that he never shortens up on that swing, no matter what the count.
  3. Funny... they invited Trump, trying to sell their new wall, and he said "he would be caught dead in that 'shithole.'"
  4. Clearly because he would have f'd with Brockster's building mojo!
  5. I hate these West Coast games where I don't get the NESN feed!!!
  6. Price looking good. Put Mookie in the f***ing game now! NO ********. Everybody is struggling... you put in your best hitter, & don't think twice about it.
  7. LOL :0 Have you ever noticed him nodding to Section C before every pitch? As though he's asking for a little help?
  8. For the record, I am 55 and my body feels old as dirt. I'm in good shape, but with my blown out shoulder, bad hips, various neurological issues, sports has wrecked havoc on this body. You just can't beat father time, & play sports with reckless abandon for too long. On that score, Pedey is a sports hero! If he plays 2 more years, I will be a very happy man!!! 2021? That would be a true modern medical miracle! I hope it happens! Having played a lot of hockey, I constantly marvel at how these guys last as long as they do! Chara is a freak! The way these guys bang at HIGH SPEED night after night, and aren't on crutches by week 1 is miraculous! Sorry for the non sequitur!
  9. Bottom line. Pedroia more than earned the contract he signed with the Sox! Having said that, I told many from his first year, that while I absolutely LOVED the way Pedroia played with reckless abandon, ABSOLUTE DIRTDOG PLAY, BALLS TO THE WALL, full throttle, brutally selling out his body on every single defensive play, all out on the base paths, & swinging that HUGE BAT from his ass on every swing, that I was worried about his body holding up over time..... Well, I guess I was 1/2 right. I didn't think he'd make it this long in a Sox uniform, BUT I hate to even think about the day he is gone. Almost as much as Ortiz, I see Pedey's dirtdog run as an end of an era. He's the last dirtdog standing. I LOVE Nunez, but Pedey is still twice the 2nd basenann (literally) he is. I will also reluctantly admit that I was a bit disappointed with Pedey on his leadership last year. I'm sure he regrets not "being completely on board" with the guys on the Machado incident. The ONLY THING I think he had a problem with, was the reckless throw at his head. That was a tough throw to defend anyway. With respect to David Price, & the incidents with Drellich & Eck? I'm sure Pedey was reluctant to call out Price, given t he fact that DP had started to gain a number of high value young players as followers. I'm sure Pedey felt between a rock & a hard place in that situation, and frankly, that was 100% on Price. I hope Price has learned a lesson with respect to that, and I'm quite sure Cora wants none of that negativity with HIS team. Pedey will come back and play his ass off for Cora, the guys, and the Red Sox. Of THIS, I AM 100% CERTAIN! He will try to help with leadership, BUT this is Cora's team now. The boys will follow him!
  10. Hats off! Sox ran into a buzz saw tonight. Wow! Kid looked unhitable.
  11. At least 145 -150 Most their enirety. If I have to miss it, I watch a speeded up recorded version.
  12. Hanley running the bases like a maniac kid! He has every guy 100% buying in to this TEAM! Whatever happens from here, Cora is making all the right moves, and EVERY GUY is stepping up!
  13. Stunning! Best pitching! Best hitting! in mlb :0 Best record. What a difference a year makes! Every guy on this team seems locked in. He Sits Beni last night, & Beni comes right back tonight killing the ball. Cora certainly seems like a genius right now. I question his lineups night after night, and every night he proves me dead wrong. This is AWESOME! Very well could be a year for the ages!
  14. Despite getting into a MAJOR JAM, Porcello was hitting that high & slightly inside spot like he had a scope on it!
  15. When did David Price convert to Amish?
  16. Beni in the last 7 games. Besides Mookie, is there anybody hotter than Beni right now? AB. R H. HR. RBI. BB. SO SB. Avg. OBP. SLG. 29 4 10 0. 9 3 4 1 .345 .394 .621 I get the syber-metrics of L on L ... But still, I NEVER WANT TO SIT a guy with 9 RBI's in the last 7 games, with an OPS of 1.015 p.s. sorry! The format didn't convert. You get the point. Having said this, it's impossible to argue with what Cora is doing!!! He's pulling all the right strings!

Price has certainly provided a good deal of that. He was most definitely very open with his feelings about a number of things last year, and since coming to Boston for that matter. He's now jumped 2 Boston Sports reporters, and does not seem to care for the fans all that much. It seems natural that fans might discuss it when yet another problem with Price pops up. We paid THE HIGHEST PRICE in red Sox history for an #1 ACE of all ACES, but thus far have gotten a good deal of nebulous excuses, and somewhat less than crystal clear 'injuries.' Price starts talking 'tingling,' after a horrific outing, & yet again dances around the specifics, and you think guys aren't going to talk about it? He GOES OFF on 2 exceptionally mild Boston Sports Reporters / color guys last year, & you think guys are not going to talk about it? He has injury after injury, generally after a shyte outing, and you think guys aren't going to talk about it? He. Even says he talked to JDM about how difficult Boston is for certain athletes..... He very clearly embarrassed & mocked Eck last year, and had a posse to join in on it..... He seemed to be cultivating a culture of disdain with a number of young players for the Boston Sports Media & fans (fans to a somewhat lesser degree), which appeared to be exceptionally corrosive? I personally think he was leading our young guys down a very unhealthy path, and it most definitely was not in line with a winning attitude. I'm ALWAYS willing to turn the page with a guy, and give him a second, third, fourth, 10th chance...., so long as they are a Red Sox player!!! I will again and again with Price! Still, can we cut the s*** on pretending we have nothing to worry about with the guy! -------------- Maxi, LOL :0 "You like to worry, & work yourself into a frenzy..." I get your spin, & no worries. That's not at all what I was doing, & I respect the opinion that we all just want to move on from what happened last year. I really do. Of course, if you look back, I've been very clear in giving Price a great deal of respect. I've said I'm rooting like hell for the guy, despite an often negative attitude toward Boston, especially the Boston Sports media. I will say again, that David has had several nebulous injuries, and last year seemed epic. Also epic, was David's angry approach from the get go. He came into to season injured & often popping off & taking on Boston Sports media. He also seemed less than complimentary of Boston Sports fans. He pretty famously & angrily said he was refusing to do interviews other than game day. Later, he blew up & refused any interview. He proceeded to go out of his way to inexplicably attack Evan Drellich & later Eck. His behavior was hostile from day 1. Many covering the Sox talked about a growing clubhouse antipathy toward the Press, and a quiet & growing hostility & insularity with too many young players. David's negative attitude certainly seemed to be taking root in the clubhouse.... That perception may have been wrong, but many familiar with the players were talking about it. Directly after the brew haha with Eck, the s*** hit the ran. Next thing you know, Price sits out of his next start.... "a no big deal 'injury' stretches on for 2 months.... Sorry, for me it was a bit too convenient. The injury, that he himself said, "was nowhere near as bad as at the beginning of the season," went on & on with little explanation. so, Do I, "like to worry, & work myself into a frenzy?" No. Do I worry about David's injury history with Boston, and worry about David's attitude when things go wrong for him? Yeh. Actually I do. Sorry! I just do. Am I still going to root like hell for him, as I did when he returned for the post season in 2017? You bet! I hope like hell he has a great season, and I hope he can ignore the bad press after the inevitable bad starts. He seemed obsessed with ANY bad press & ANY negative comments about ANY player last year. Frankly, it was a bit bizzare. He seemed to think that it was his mission to go out of his way to angrily confront head on every critical assessment of every blown play, or blown start, by every player on the team. Quite frankly, TO ME it looked like a guy selfishly using negative comments by the press about OTHER players, i.e. the NOTHING-BURGER comments by Eck about that E-Rod outing..... Again, TO ME & many others, it looked like Price was USING those nothing comments to beat down Eck because he wanted to unload on the Boston Sports Media for negative things said about HIM. That's absolutely how I viewed what he was doing all year long.... become "the clubhouse leader" who would slap the s*** out of any press member who dared say anything negative about any of HIS guys. It flat out was not creating a positive, baseball first, "it's all about winning," culture in the clubhouse. It became negative and corrosive. Yes! We won a lot, but fell apart in the post season yet again. For whatever reason, the focus wasn't there. I personally attribute much of that to players focusing on too many other things? idk at all for sure, but the negativity & obsession with "bad press" didn't seem to help anybody on the team? To me, & perhaps me alone, it didn't seem conducive to a winning attitude. A positive mindset. However you want to put it, it didn't seem helpful for a young exciting team to become so aggravated and insular? There were many alluding to David's 'leadership' in that area? I honestly think it was a very corrosive thing in the clubhouse, and it did not help our young players one bit! For the record, Cora seems to have turned the page, and I love their attitude THIS NEW SEASON! "It's all about baseball & winning!" I love it! The subtext seems to be, "no ********, just go out and win." Also...... Hats off to David for coming right back with a great start! He looked & pitched great! I'm his biggest fan!!! I hope & pray he just goes out & pitches, and that I don't over-react to any set backs or injuries this season!!!!
  18. Not bad. I'm still a bit upset that Price ducked this start though!
  19. Another thing about this poser Betts... He missed the last game against Baltimore. Skipped the last game due to a bogus "rain out." So he comes in tonight & hits 3 lucky bombs. That is a pathetic 1 HR per game day average. 1.5 if you give him the bogus "rain day" off excuse. Now, you can't exactly be called a "superstar" if you are only averaging 1 or 1.5 HR's per night. Piker!
  20. I really feel like Mookie was kind of dogging it on that last HR. ALL we ask for is a little hustle. Is that too much to ask for?
  21. Honestly, this is all I want from Price. Throw that ball. Pitch the s*** out of it like tonight.... & shut our whiny arsses up.
  22. WTF! Are you ki.... Oh. I guess I can agree with that.
