  1. I've been on a ship, helicopter, and a plane and jumped in and out of many places as well.
  2. You didn't answer my question. It's a direct yes or no question. Was your reference about the TV show...."The View"???
  3. Are you talking about the show, the view? the one with all the women that women watch?
  4. Yeah, honestly I've thought about doing competitive eating, still am actually. I was blessed (or cursed) with the ability to eat massive amounts of food in a short period of time. Being in the military only enhanced this ability of mine.
  5. That's my problem man, I used to love to indulge. I used to love "trauma blocking" with food, which IS an addiction, and as many people don't know almost no one is addicted to just one thing. I could easily buy an entire bag (the big bag) of Reeses peanut butter cups and a gallon of milk and down it in a sitting.
  6. I plateaued when I hit 200 for about a year, recently I've been stepping my diet game up. And I technically lied a few posts back. I had a cheat day when I was in Narraganset for a few days weeks ago. I had claim cakes, clam chowder, and some fish and chips......and it was glorious.
  7. The fact that you had to point out to me it was coined by a woman completely makes my point, so thank you for making my point. I will uphold my pledge, even though I'm certain you would never take it.
  8. Coined by a woman is all we need to know.
  9. HA! I can sense the sarcasm in this, and I'm guessing we might have some similar views. I have come to learn to let go of people in recent years. It's actually amazing that when you really truly let go and live your life for yourself how people will try to crawl their way back into it. I actually did have an ex hit me up on instagram just the other day talking about how "hot" i am. I ignored her because deep down inside I know shes coming back because she got rejected elsewhere. 90% of the time, that's why people try to come back into your life.
  10. 3 years ago I was 285 lbs, a fat slob, a cheater, a liar, and a drug user. Today I stand at 180 13% body fat, and never felt better about the person I am inside and out. I want to get down to 10% at least. I've thought about doing a body building contest, but we will see, for now I'm just doing it for myself.
  11. I don't see a lot of things nowadays, I'm lucky if I get 7 hours of sleep, and I weigh out every single calorie on a food scale; I haven't had a carbohydrate that wasn't brown rice, oats, or sweet potato in over two months. My mind is seriously starting to retaliate against me right now.
  12. Women love to emasculate men when they disagree with them, and they've even conditioned us men to do it to ourselves. I take a pledge right now, no matter how mean, no matter how much of a dickhead I am, and I will be because I can not help myself, but I take a pledge to never make any type of joke or insult that emasculates another man. That is an insult normalized by the feminine society we have grown accustomed to today. We are men, we should fight with logic and direct conversation, not minced words and covert insults.
  13. I remember reading that not too long ago, and I had forgotten. About the challenge system. So while pitch framing might lose it's value, it's still going to carry some.
  14. Clocked with a 1.72 pop time. That would put him #1 in the majors this year....in front of J.T. Realmuto. If this dude can hit and throw runners out he is going to be a complete stud. There's also a very real chance there are robot umps in a few years, meaning having a catcher that can hit and throw runners out is going to be even more valuable. Aside from blocking skills, framing will be a lost skill with little meaning in that era.
  15. I think Teel really changes the outlook for catching depth in the organization. Wouldn't change your summarization at all. I would add that with the changes in today's game, the bat-no-glove catcher is going to be less valuable. Especially if you can't control the run game, which leads me to believe that Hickey is effectively not a catching prospect at all. But between Teel and Garcia, the catching situation looks much better from top to bottom. Catchers do notoriously take longer to develop in the minors, so guys with potential such as Lira/Brannon are intriguing as well because of how young and raw they are. Brannon has a strong arm, and Lira despite the bat deficiencies seems to know the strike zone well. You can envision a scenario where he adds strength and bat speed and Brannon becomes more polished behind the dish. I've always had a biased against catching prospects, but drafting Teel has sort of moved my stance on this.
  16. This is why I think Rafaela has such a high floor as a player. If he doesn't improve ONE bit at chasing and gets exposed at the next level, he's still a utility guy who can add substantial value in the field and on the bases, heck he still might be a starter in other cities and maybe even here in peak years. I think it's a guarantee (effectively) he's a MLBer in some capacity But if he takes a step forward with his approach he could be a star. This is exactly why I think it's not a great ideal to rush him to the MLB level until he is ready. He certainly looks so by looking at the AAA stat line, but as we all know......AAA stats are not everything.
  17. One of the many reasons I considered Johanfran the better catching prospect in our system before Teel was drafted.
  18. Your gut feeling is pretty much buying a lotto ticket to say that the underlying data is wrong and Ceddanne will be the exception and not the rule. Entirely possible, but unlikely. The problem with Rafaela is he has really good contact skills, he's really good at putting wood on the ball. This seems like the opposite of a problem but when you combine it with a high chase right it's not great. Because it means he's hitting pitches he might have been better off missing and puts weak contact into play. He has one of the highest rates of swinging at pitches out of the zone than any minor leaguer. MLB pitching will be able to take advantage of that MUCH better than AAA pitchers can. And yes, there are guys that seem to be able hit MLB pitching great like that. But the fact that you have to name someon like Vladimir Guerrero proves it's the exception and not the rule. It's a huge red flag with Rafaela.
  19. You also never know who is going to dazzle and who will fizzle. Someone like Jordan or Bonaci might not make it or turn out to be fine players and need a few more years until they're productive 26' 27' and others could just skyrocket. Anthony doesn't have an ETA of 2025 right now, but he could be starting in Boston that year too. Same thing with Perales.
  20. I just find it ironic how people look at what a guy has done recently and think that's it for them and that's all they will ever be. Kike was "washed up" and I always made the argument that he'd be fine as a utility player. Plus I'm sure it probably helps playing somewhere were the fanbase hasn't grown to hate you. I never hated Kike, I was just disappointed in his play this year. I was very adamant that he'd do fine if used right and in the right circumstance. Others have held this opinion as well and Kike is making us look good right now. Also, a "change of scenery" may be at play here as well.
  21. JBJ was also rushed as well, which only makes the argument stronger for not rushing Ceddanne
  22. My brain......it hurts.
  23. Every scouting report I've ever read or listened to on him says his defense is plus in centerfield and ok at SS, that he's not the elite defender there.
  24. Ironically Kike Hernandez has been hitting very very well since leaving the Sox. And Ryan Braiser has been pitching like a shut down closer.
  25. Story didn't have a spring training, this is effectively his spring training. I have zero issue with him finishing a rehab assignment and getting reps in. If we wanted a short stop who can play D but not hit we've had that all year, and at various times had a SS who couldn't field OR hit. Taking one's time is never a horrible decision.
