No Talent in the Minors to replace his Talent, and your not going to get the return back. Might as well sign him, Sox are stuck. If you had a Outfielder that, had the potential had when Betts was coming up, he would be gone. This Minor League talent, is terrible. Pitching and Positional. Sox are stuck. For not developing.

What is it. If the Sox are over the Threshold and Betts becomes a FA, the Sox get a 5th for him. If Under a 2nd am I right? You don't think the Dodgers know this? Why would the Dodgers give any of their Top 5 Prospects for a Rental. Smart move, if I was Freidman, would just wait this out, Sox are painted into a Corner.

In July the Trade simulator will accept a Picture of Walt Alston, for Mookie. They will just wait it out. That team is in no rush to make any Trade.

Rather have his Father. One of the most dangerous hitters in the Clutch ever. Those Reds teams wers some of the best hitters from 1-8 of all time. I bet many don't remember Alex Johnson here. Won a Batting Title. Reds got rid of him, wasn't good enough. Guess against who he beat without looking. It wasn't Tommy Harper who was Red too. They Drafted him. Did OK as Rookie but not great. Lost him in the expansion back them, Seattle Pilots? Right Moon your a Tommy Harper Fan. I remember well, liked him. He was OK, wasn't the difference in the Boston Red Sox to me. Rico, Tony C. Yaz, Scott, Reggie, Mike Andrews, Lonborg, those were my boys. Before Harper. You must be younger then me. Isn't it weird how remember s***? -

Dan Shaughnessy wrote a great article, about Henry. And why big problem on why there wasn't a lot of movement this Off-Season. On Sept 27, this past year the Sox and Henry said will try to cut Payroll to get under the Luxury Tax. That did all the damage. From that point on every team in MLB knew our plans. He has since reneged on what he said. "Many think we brought Bloom in to cut Pay-roll, but that is not the Case". It was too late. Teams were not going to give the value back for guys like Price, and whoever they wanted to move. They backed themselves in a corner with some questionable contracts, then they tell everybody that they need to move out from that corner. This Off-season has been nothing but stupidity from this Organization. Might as well go for it with what you got now. Shaughnessy cited talking to many Top Baseball Executives when he wrote that article. They knew the Sox plans. Cant Post it wont come up. Sorry.

They are not going apeshit, if they lose Draft Picks and a Fine, after a 2nd Offense. That you were specifically warned. Makes sense, just like doing something illegal, like getting caught with a DWI. 1st Offense, Courts usually work with you, as a mistake, 2nd makes it habitual.

This is 100% correct. Henry gave him an extension too, plus a nice raise. You don't want to pay him, for bringing this crap to the Sox.

Dalbec did improve last year cutting down his K's. Year before he had 176 K's in 455 At bats. This year 139 in 472 at bats. I go by At Bats.

27 million on his final year. Trout 37+ you think Mookie is looking at a 7 million dollar increase, in his contract, like this year? He had a good year not a great year. Getting Mookie at 34 would be a very good contract for the Sox. Very Fair.

If I was Mookie I would be asking for more then Trout at this POINT. If not I'm walking. We'll see what happens after season, in the Open Market. Makes sense to me. Mookie got all the leverage. He has an outstanding Season, he'll even have more. Its a Gamble by both parties, that's all it is.
