  1. That was it in a nutshell with Anderson Espinoza. I remember a Poster saying he is unreal, yeah he is playing against High School kids, soon as they rushed him up, got hit pretty bad. Since he was young and then the Padres rushed him, he blew out his arm, now I think its twice. Still think he might make it back as a good reliever. These young kids can hit fastballs nowadays, its the secondary pitches that will give them problems. Thats the difference in the Higher leagues. Young Pitchers, need more time to get the arms stronger. Go from 50 innings to 100 innings is a big deal. For hitters going to 200+ At bats is a big deal.
  2. Mel Ott had a crazy stance.
  3. Rose struck out 4 times in a game, hard to believe.
  4. This kid looks strong.
  5. Ticking Time Bomb with this BP, against a Home Run hitting team. Pray for the best.
  6. These Fans are crazy.
  7. I'm Porcello I'm not taking less then Eovaldi. Tons of innings, he also was out of BP last year in the Playoffs. Teams will give him 17+ just because of innings. He eats them up. Put him in a Pitchers Park, without DH, he's a good deal at 18 for 3 with an Option. Never arm problems, roll him out every 5th day, those guys are real valuable. Take it easy on the stats. He'll just turn 31 over Off-season. Scherzer will be 35 in July. And he got 84 Million still owed to him for 2 years. If you want him at 15 you better give him years, on his contract. 4 minimum, if I was his Agent. I would hold off for 5, and say there is your hometown discount.
  8. Tanaka pitched a hell of a game too. Just consistency with that guy. He's like a Porcello.
  9. Agree, this is the real weakness of this team. Holding leads and keeping the score manageable, to win games from behind.
  10. Yeah at this point that DSL 2 team looks like it got some hitters on them. Young too, many will play at age 17 this year, and their Birthday is in the Winter. Meaning next season they will be playing at the next level at age 18. 18 hits not bad. Really going to keep an eye on Gonzalez. See if he keeps this up. Sounds like a good fielder too. Has 3 assists in 13 games, with 0 errors.
  11. 2 Clutch wins in a row. BP spent, you needed Clutch Pitching at the right time. Team is starting to pick each other up, they don't want to disappoint the other teammate. You play as a team you do great things.
  12. Twins are a better hitting team on the Road then they are at home. But, they are much better Pitching at home, then on the Road.
  13. Arm problems hurt this guy, saw him when he was younger, threw much harder then he does now. Now Control is his game. If he doesn't have it, its tougher for him. Good thinking about the BP, Starters have to go deeper.
  14. Need a Statement Series on the Road, against a good Opponent. 2 out of 3 fine. Need it leading to this weekend. Yanks play the Astros and Tampa goes to Oakland. Oakland is still better then Toronto (who we play). Time to make a move, play good Baseball starting tonight. Forgot Tampa is playing NY tonight. Might be the most important series up to this point. We really see what kind of team we have. Throw out last year, once and for all. 89 game season at this point. Starting to move.
  15. Yanks have a lot of injuries at this point, using many young kids. His bat makes this line-up stronger. EE hits excellent in Toronto and Boston, you play a lot of divisional Opponents games. And he's relatively cheap. Sox don't have the money and the DH we use is fine. 1st base is fine at this point. EE was never a real 1st baseman, his last year he played significant time there was 2016, 75 games that was it. He's a DH, that's it. Ortiz was a real 1st baseman, and he was used as a DH only.
  16. Wonder why the Guardians didn't take him back now, as a DH especially? Something they don't like. They got Santana back, at 1st.
  17. We stole a game, don't matter how bad team was, losing that game would have been a lot worse. The win was expected, because of Opponent. Losing is hell of a lot worse, to that team. If you watched the game, O's had tons of chances to win it and they didn't, before the bottom of the 8th. Going into the 8th the O's were 1-15 with RISP. Don't go by Opponent in this game, go by attitude. They didn't give up. Hernandez HR was the biggest HR of the season up to this point.
  18. Remy cracks me up!! LOVE HIM!
  19. You put a batter on tying run come to the plate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Really Alex? Brain Fart there, hahaha
  21. Who would have imagined Marco Hernandez, might have hit the biggest HR of the year so far.
  22. Lets not count our Chickens just yet.
  23. Nice at bat by Vazquez, battled the whole time, cut down his swing, and made contact. Against Givens he was swinging for the Fences.
