  1. He sucks! The stats don’t lie, last 7 games a 1.9 Whip, good luck with that action
  2. Define reasonable? Lol You would have to think a player like Dalbec gets you something. Last night Taylor proved he is not a ML quality Pitcher. Even if something is nothing it’s better than Taylor I go for Giles despite the elbow
  3. You need a Reliever who is having a good season. Not a scrub or junkballer. Last nights loss proves the theory. Price done, Barnes in 6th Workman 7th Evoldi the 8th a pitcher like Yates or WSmith SF in 9th and you might have won that game? Dombrowski f###ed up in the off season and so far refuses to fix it by dealing the deadweight to offset the cash because the Team is cash strapped thanks to the drunken sailor spending. If a legit RP at reasonable cost is not brought in, Henry needs to show Dombo the door this off-season!
  4. The thought of trading a Cost controlled future Superstar with a stroke like Mattingly is not only criminal but also a potential Bagwell Trojan horse!
  5. Wheeler will be the next GCole once out of NY But hey, we got Cashner
  6. The most intelligent post you have ever posted See Reddick
  7. Your pink hat theories are mind boggling
  8. His 2018 post season performance gets you a legit prospect in 19 regardless of stats Contending Teams will overpay see the Cubs
  9. How the #$ is the window closed when your starting OF 3b 1b SS and C are a combined age of 27? Sale Price Porcello ERod are still formidable If you were to say Dombrowski’s window is closing? I would agree. DD is not the GM to build through youth or the draft. Keep your fingers crossed he doesn’t pull a 97 Marlins redux
  10. Dombrowski needs to get creative! Porcello for an A or B+ prospect or prospects add Groome or ERod and offer all to the Mets if Syndergaard is actually being discussed along with Wheeler I would sell high on MHernandez Duran and Dalbec while the pan is hot for a Reliever having a good year
  11. Yawn Another quality pink hat thread or should I say Mickey Mouse thread
  12. You don’t give up on elite hitting or pitching talent. You don’t give up on 24 year old potential superstars in AB (see Reddick) You can add by subtracting players like Moreland Nunez Pierce where you have a viable option in Holt and Chavis ERod is the chip I move before the knee gives out which could get you a yankee type haul when they acquired Torres Problem is DD’s track record is trading prospects not trading for
  13. They will be lucky to win 80 never mind 86 Drop the dead weight and revamp the minor league system
  14. Cash strapped is a beautiful predicament to be in. Maybe Rusney can Close? Thanks Ben
  15. And you pink hats say my Post don’t make sense. The game is about adjustments always was and always will be. You do not give up on a 24 year old player with his ability. Let alone a Champion! Remember Josh Reddick, How did that work out? You don’t trade A and B type prospects for Relief pitchers not named Rivera it’s to risky. In hindsight you also lost the Kimbrel trade. Develop pitching! This is why it baffles my mind that Henry has not revamped the Minor League development system. It’s time for the Crockets and Abrahams to be shown the door!
  16. Blaming Cora is a joke! Dombrowski is Cap strapped by the former GM’s p!ss poor acquisitions Bullpen overall sucks, but you had to bet DD is waiting a half season so the money goes down on any contract traded for so you don’t once again take a hit in the Draft order This Team needs to buy and sell at the deadline much like the yanks did a few years ago
  17. 2 games back in the wildcard and falling fast Go Dombrowski go, you ain’t made a bad move yet Players who should be on the block ERod Porcello Price Nunez Moreland Pearce
  18. Vs winning teams you must play .500 ball or better. Cream puff record won’t count come playoff time
  19. You can not rationalize a loss by saying “we played well or we had a lead twice or this player pitched well or hit well. Bottom line is, without a legit Closer and Barnes pitching the 8th your going to lose more than you will win. Record vs winning teams is 7 games under .500. Playoff Teams in general usually play .500 ball vs each other which gives you a 50/50 chance of winning come playoff time. Pitching wins in The postseason which has been proven. Until a 9th inning arm emerges your chances of repeating are slim
  20. How did the “Closer by committee” work out last night vs Twins? You legend in your own mind stat geeks fail to realize a loss is a loss is a loss. You can’t sugar coat it. Unless DD finds a Closer or hidden gem which is remote, I’ll quote the great Terry Francona “good luck with that”!
  21. Is this Alex Cora? 18 is history! Now let’s face the facts and the facts r undisputed Without a Closer and possibly a 7th inning setup arm your in “big trouble in little China Jack”
  22. Running JSmith out to close says it all Plenty of prospects to make a move unless DD is pulling an Ainge Davis to LA, thanks Danny you haven’t made a bad move yet! Kimbrel to Cubs for 3 years 40 mill says he was never done or past his prime Cash strapped is a beautiful predicament to be in, thanks Ben, Tom, Larry and john
