So with that said, what should Cora do with the Player, move him to the Pen when the Organization as a whole cannot develop a single Starting Pitcher? Cora needs to grab his b@lls and let a Pitcher like Houck develop. If that means facing hitters a third time then so be it. Todays start 4 IP 58 pitches is a joke! Let the kid pitch! Far as the Pitching Coach, do the Sox have one? If Pitchers have problems with facing the order a second or third time that to me says, where are the adjustments, where is the Pitching coach in all this? Houck has a lot of Kevin Brown in him, develop the kid!

The only problem with DD's career was handing out insane contracts, which he also did in Boston. Name one prospect traded that will be next JBagwell? There ain't one! Relish the 18 Season cus DD built a Powerhouse!

Patience and upside two of the most important words in a GM's Office. Like I said, the kid was homegrown and a champion. You don't trade those players for "what if's and "what they might be". AB is in purgatory, result not the Player he should be. I would expect if he were still in Boston his stats would be much better. Like I said Orlando is a bargain basement shopper. Some players work out some don't. When you have a proven player at a position such as LF in Fenway you squeeze every at bat out of that player and give that player as much time as needed to produce.

What Salary Relief? It was a Garbage trade made by a GM who is used to adding players via the scrap yard MGonzalez Age 32, result 3million. DSantana Age 30 result 1.7million AB at 6.6 million was a bargain. Age 27 still with upside and was and is a World Champion. Better yet a homegrown player. Now you go out and acquire more payroll in Schwarber at what another 3million who is not a contact hitter. KS is a glorified sunday softball hitter. 7.7 million in 3 stiffs While Beni was shipped off in his prime. Brilliant! Keep on Trading Orlando, you ain't made a bad move yet!

Gambrell is 24 in High A with an era over 7 Brilliant! 2 19 year olds in Florida, who at that age, are a dime a dozen Quantity over quality must be a pre-requisite in Orlando's Office? Its time to evaluate the Minor League Developmental System as a whole. Name the last #1 or #2 Starting Pitcher developed by the system not named Lester? You Can't. Same can be said for a high leverage reliever. I stated years ago the problem is Ben Crockett! He must go along with the entire scouting philosophy he directs. Until that happens your in Developmental Purgatory. Funny how Tampa continues to produce starting Pitching while most fans cannot name one let alone two SP's in their rotation as we speak. Crockett must go!

Dombrowski handed out contracts like a drunken sailor and over paid in trades but was far from the problem. Until Henry Acknowledges that the Minor League Developmental System needs a complete overhaul the mad spending will continue because of it. Continue the house cleaning by getting rid of Ben Crockett and camera boy Abraham in the Minor League Front Office ! Call Billy in Oakland not named Beane for the GM position!
