  1. f*** Kike. The dumbest baseball player. What the f*** is wrong with him.
  2. Really sad to see Sale news conference. He's obviously frusrated. Just got to feel for him. He can be shut down at any point. That's where he is.
  3. My point is Sox did not expect Kluber to 'replace' Nate. Money rules and their contracts are vastly different. From that perspective Yoshida replaced Xander even though they play different position.
  4. I'm not sure Kluber vs Nate is the right comparison. I would go with Sale vs Nate Kluber vs Wacha Paxton vs Hill Bello vs Bello, Winck, Kutter Pivetta vs Pivetta Now we have replaced Kluber with Houck and Pivetta with Whitlock That's how I see it.
  5. It's becoming obvious that there are simply no gimmes on OUR schedule. A's maybe the lone exception. News with Sale will determine which direction this team should be headed. It maybe time to clean house.
  6. My only point was after last night, we would go with our #1 option tonight and that's been Winckowski. If you don't think Winck has been our best bullpen arm then we have nothing to talk about. Yeah you are right about if Kutter did his job I wouldn't be second guessing. But isn't that the point? Second guess when you don't succeed?
  7. I am wonderin why not pitch Winckowski at the start? We need to win this game. Up 3-1, let Winckowski pitch 3 innings then our closer? Now we have wasted 2 long guys. Do our people have any clue running a baseball team?
  8. 7 games in 6 days.....not a good start.
  9. Bello did his job. He was the opener. Lol
  10. What about the Reds with the best record in the strike season? But they failed to win neither the first half and the second half and therby missing the playoffs?
  11. Vaz hitting around .550 OPS. 3 years $30M. Yikes.
  12. Ok this thing with winning a series that TV heads love to talk about but has no relevance. It's been bugging me. In a 3 game series, if you win all 3 games, then you can reverse previous serires 'loss' as a serires win. The reverse is true if you lose all 3 games. So in our recent road trip where we went 2-1 in series win, because we lost all 3 games to the Angels, it essentially turned one of the series win to a loss. Thus we went 1-2, which coincides wwith our 4-5 record. Any questions?
  13. So if we miss out on playoffs, this is why. At least he wasn't hurt. Probably why we didn't pursue him harder.
  14. We paid the A's $75K. Obviously he's earning minimum major league wage.
  15. I don't see a $75K player getting picked by anyone.
  16. I just don't see Reyes' value being higher than Chang. No way.
  17. He's making $5.35M this year. If we happen to DFA Kluber, I'm not sure if we can afford to move away from Pivetta just yet. I was hoping we'd get a solid reliever for Pivetta in July.
  18. I read somewhere Cora has stated Story will be the ss.
  19. Keeping track of series wins and losses is the most meaningless exercise. On our road trip, we won two and lost 1 series. Yet we had a losing record.
  20. You are right......but in my defense, when the board talks about all the catching defensive metrics, it's way over my head. So although I didn't compliment McGuire, I didn't tear him down either. Sometimes it's good to be dumb or stupid. I'm more with Red, I have to watch to see how good they are...my eye test told me Duran and Casas sucked today.
  21. I'm messing with you all....disappointing day.
  22. I would say maybe if our window of winning opens up next year and coincides with this acquisition. So we will have 3 years of this Marlins pitcher?
  23. I didn't like pitch selection in 1st inning. Nothing but hard stuff. All the Rays pitchers learn to throw a changeup. Whitlock was successul in part due to speed differentials last night. So i will blow up two over blown thoughts. 1 Houk gets worse second and third time around. How did that work today? 2 Wong is sooooo much better defesively. Who caught Whitlock last night? Now I do like Wong better because of his athleticism.
  24. Good deals should work for both sides. Maybe this does. We do need to replace Paxton at minimum.
  25. I am all for upgrading our roster at every turn. Although the wheels turn slowly at times, it's encouraging that we have moved from Brasier and Ort along with going away fron Kluber and Pivetta as starters. At least Bloom is trying and not just sit on his ass.
