  1. No. That was the ESPN announcer.
  2. My son & I saw JBJ & Workman together at a Sea Dogs dinner a few years ago and got autographed pictures of each of them. I'm planning on those pictures financing my kid's retirement.
  3. DO NOT run on JBJ's arm!!!
  4. Setting up the double play
  5. DO NOT WAlk THIS GUY. Did you learn nothing from what happened for the Sox in the 9th?
  6. If this thing is going to go late they damn better win!
  7. Ok Max. I give up. :-(
  8. C'mon man.. take one for the team!!
  9. I'll say this for the Jays. THey're doing everything they can to lose this game
  10. Now after the way I trashed XBo earlier, let's see him win this thing.. .or at least keep things alive,
  11. As Stiggy would say, "Can you believe it!!!!"
  12. And Moreland is the right guy to do it!
  13. There's life! Now all we need is the SAC
  14. Ya. You may be right. There's no great solution.
  15. Want some good news? This crap will be over by shortly after 10:00.
  16. I hear ya. But that translates to about 1 error every 5 games and that's a risk I'm willing to take to get just a little bit of life back into this offense. And you know that's saying a lot if you've paid attention to my posts and know how much I value stellar defense!
  17. But putting him on the bench isn't going to solve that problem. All it does is takes one of the most potent bats out of the offense.
  18. I know that what I'm going to say flies in the face of the statistics, but I still believe in protection for hitters, offensive momentum, and that some players can be 'clutch', i.e. players can will themselves to play better in certain situations. I could be wrong about all of this but there's an approximately 140 game sample size that says that what Papi brought to the game makes a difference.
  19. If so, that's just plain stupid. (IMO)
  20. I guess I don't completely understand what happened. I was under the impression that the Sox were (allegedly) picking up a video feed on their Apple watches and then communicating what they saw to the hitters. My questions are these: I watch the games on television and very seldom see the catcher's signals. Even when we see the game from the CF camera the catcher's signals can't be seen. So where is the feed coming from that was being picked up on the watch? Was there (allegedly) a second camera set up in CF specifically for this purpose? How was this information transmitted to the hitters at the plate? Did it come from the runner on 2B? And if so, how did this runner get the information?
  21. I'm wondering if this team even expects to get a hit when they come to bat now. They seem so lackluster.
  22. It appears that the Sox are taking a healthy one, too. Ugh
  23. OOps. That Swihart was supposed to be Benintendi. Swihart as a throw - in since the M's are short on young catching. My bad.
  24. That's the trade that brought us Pablo Sandoval.
