Perez did have a 4.72 ERA across two organizations and 173 games before ever setting foot in Fenway. He wasn’t some big developmental miss; he’s just a guy who has his career year somewhere else. Springs only pitched 20 IP in Boston. We really had no time to make an opinion one way or the other…
