  1. Kike - 15 throwing errors Mondesi - 0 throwing errors
  2. That’s why I said he can get you a contract dump or an A ball longshot. Frankly, I’d take a short term contract dump as long as it can pitch and doesn’t rhyme with Laurie Tuber…
  3. I’ll take Devers and Duran over 86yo Brooks Robinson and the late Paul Blair. Kike vs the late Mark Belanger is a toss up…
  4. Crawford was great last night, but bear in mind the Twins are in a horrible team slump. Not a Kluber-Proof slump, but still, a really bad one…
  5. His fastball velocity is down, but he only uses the pitch 33% of the time. So I suppose it doesn’t impact him much. His cutter and slider velocities remain consistent…
  6. Dalbec will set no such precedent
  7. It is odd on the same thread, Dalbec is a viable trade candidate but the better all around player in Gallo - only 20 months older - is proof there are too many teams in MLB…
  8. Rusney would have been in MLB but for his salary. The man played elite OF defense…
  9. Wil Myers just got DFAd. Myers is the better hitting/fielding version of Dalbec and once he clears waivers, can be had for the league minimum. This does not help any attempt to unload Dalbec…
  10. Any trade that includes Dalbec's can likely be made without him. His struggles at the MLB level are not a secret, and his glove didn’t make up for it. That he requires a 40 man roster spot doesn’t help his appeal. He can be dealt to a team looking for a platoon DH/1b type that’s Ona budget. And he can get back a contract dump or an A ball longshot. The only points in his favor are his track record against LHP and his league minimum salary…
  11. BTV accepted Rafaela and Yorke for 1.5 years of Bieber. Luis Castillo was dealt for four prospects, but only one was ranked (Noevi Marte) at the time. We can assume that Edwin Arroyo became a top 100 prospect the following year was not unanticipated. So is Rafaela and Yorke comparable to that pair? I also think Miami - loaded in the rotation, weak in the OF - makes a good landing spot for Rafaela. BTV gives him comparable value to Jesus Luzardo, Edward Cabrera (currently injured), and Braxton Garrett… The Sox are probably better off trading for an ace. Signing one has never worked out…
  12. That settles it. Not even July yet and Bloom already botched the trade deadline. Don’t even try to defend him this time…
  13. It took an injury and Hamilton is currently the only SS on the 40 man roster..,
  14. So the Sox have scored 44 runs in their last 5 games in which Devers has gone 2 for 18 with 1 RBI…
  15. There are 10,000,000 reasons…
  16. I did campaign for Gallo this off-season, as after Betts he’s probably the best candidate to defend RF at Fenway. I can live with a .200 BA if it comes with Gold Glove defense…
  17. Kind of silly. His struggles begin an end with his 30+ K%. He probably lost a few hits that way but he‘s only topped .210 twice in his career…
  18. 1. He’s only 29. 2. His best attribute is his RF defense, but the Twins don’t play him there…
  19. Gallo? Not that I heard. But many analysts did..
  20. Everyone likes his ability; we hate his fragility…
  21. Arroyo makes it arroy-go?
  22. We know more about what Duran is than what Rafaela is. And the question involved trading for an ace (whatever that is). You’re not going to get one for Bryan Mata and Brainer Bonaci. And why are the Sox looking at OF for next year? Yoshida/Duran/Verdugo and Wilyer Abreu for depth…
  23. Dumping? It was a suggestion to trade for an ace. What you call “dumping” I call “selling high and from depth”…
