I don’t think 29yo Mike Miller and his career minor league .668 OPS was ever a threat to supplant Xander Bogaerts. Lin is a utility infielder at best and Travis is a replacement level player who gets the call only when someone hits the IL so he can, well, replace them temporarily. His future will include a DFA at some point...
