  1. Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright; the band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light, and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout; but there is no joy in Natick — Vazquez hit it out
  2. Well, I see the chief panicmeisters are out in all their glory tonight. Is it time to DFA the whole club again?
  3. With HIPPA laws being what they are, the crack medical staff legally can’t say anything.
  4. Well, for one thing, McCullers had the ball. Devers didn't.
  5. Every team, no matter how good, is going to lose 55-60 games. This is one of those nights.
  6. Houston has had several freaky plays go their way tonight.
  7. Nothing wrong with that call.
  8. Yep, but we need him back healthy.
  9. That's easy; Swihart will play all nine positions, like in that Bugs Bunny cartoon. They can DFA everyone else.
  10. Well at least this inning gets Swihart out of the way. Not showing much tonight.
  11. It's really just two nattering nabobs of negativism who simply aren't happy unless they aren't happy.
  12. Tonight really wasn't that bad; far better than recent outings. Correa hit the snot out of it but it isn't the first time he's done that and it won't be the last. The two runs in the 4th had a huge element of bad Sox luck or good Houston fortune in them.
  13. Good inning by Pomeranz there.
  14. He's best when he doesn't have time to think about making a play and he only has time to just react.
  15. Why don't you do it? You have all the answers, I'm sure he would listen to you. Step up.
  16. Behind McCullers, that is a distinct possibility; he's good. I had the pleasurre of seeing both Correa and McCullers here when they were in Low-A ball. You could see they were special players.
  17. Correa crushes a lot of homers. He's a great hitter, it happens. In the 4th, the first hit was hit in a perfect spot. It would have been better for the Sox if the ball to Moreland had been hit harder, he nails him at the plate if it is. The 2nd run came on a perfectly executed bunt.
  18. Yeah, two of those balls were really roped. He's been poor this year, but let's not pretend he's getting knocked all over the ballpark this inning.
  19. At the very least there isn't enough to overturn it.
  20. Live I thought he was out.
  21. Of course the option was an overwhelmingly huge part of the decision. We (fans) have absolutely no idea what else if anything contributed to said decision and to what extent "else" was or was not a factor. It is also a fact that fans know nothing of what really goes on in a clubhouse (which is what I was trying to say); those who think they do are delusional.
  22. Because he didn’t want to use him today if he could help it. He will probably not be available in Houston tomorrow
  23. He’s not a guy I want to use in a tight game late though. Perfect as a long/middle reliever
