    Agree on Chavis. Even if Chavis sees it immediately he was in no position to make a strong accurate throw, which would have been needed to get Jay. Devers does have to try and make the play though.

    Every pitcher has a team that, for whatever reason, has his number. The White Sox appears to be that team for Sale. Likewise, every pitcher has a team that he basically can throw his glove out on the field and dominate.

    I didn’t say if that was a good thing or a bad thing. He was much more tolerable when the Pale Hose were losing. And maybe he was slightly better on Red Sox games since he played here. But he definitely could be insufferable at times. OTOH his rant on Joe West re. Mark Buerle’s balks was classic.
