  1. Yep; the more guys you trot out there, the more likely it is one of them won't have it on a given night.
  2. He is not an everyday player and it is showing in his hitting right now. He was doing okay when he was playing a couple times a week.
  3. Might see Moreland here vs. the right hander. Edit - I guess not.
  4. Mookie HAs to learn to lay off that down and away breaking stuff.
  5. I'm guessing Newcomb may have approached him in a different manner last inning.
  6. Nunez's out was the killer; he has to make better contact there. I don't know what JBJ has done to piss off the umps, but he gets rung up on more borderline pitches than anyone I've ever seen. And he NEVER says anything to the ump, so you know that had to be a really bad call.
  7. Sox losing and Mr. Twitter shows up, what a surprise.
  8. Luckily for the Sox, he didn't do much yesterday. He was up with multiple guys on every time up and only came up with a sac fly.
  9. A good piece of hitting by Suzuki. Pretty good pitch by Porcello; it was down and away. He got away with one the previous pitch, however, as Suzuki fouled off one right down the middle.
  10. Two balls smoked and a drive to the wall all for outs. Pearce gets a single on a 27 hopper. That's baseball.
  11. Well, he got hit a couple times over the weekend.
  12. He did? His line score was 3 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 4 BB and 4 Ks. Sox didn't score on him until the 3rd, but they obviously had chances before that with that number of runners on.
  13. Why have one of the slowest runners on the team batting immediately in front of Mookie?
  14. They should get him some work but they should also have him on a pitch count, say 20 pitches max.
  15. Suzuki has killed the Sox over the years and has had chances to do so again today; how many times can they roll the dice against him?
  16. Vazquez telegraphs that high strike, all it takes is one yell from the bench.
  17. Toussant is a pitcher. Certain pitches set up other pitches. I’m not seeing that with Eovaldi.
  18. Eovaldi having a lot of problems throwing strikes to left handed hitters.
  19. Maybe he ought to think about cutting a few mph off and getting some late movement. I know , easier said than done.
  20. At least there’s a few more arms out there to use.
  21. Eovaldi has no put away pitch. He’s going to have to learn to get outs with contact.
  22. Let’s hope they can start with a scoreless inning; seems like it’s been 2 or 3 to nothing after the first a lot lately.
  23. Betts has been vulnerable to 2 strike breaking balls down and away lately.
  24. White Sox have a lot of young talent that is starting to figure it out. As somebody said, it's not always who you play but when you play them. They are 18-13 since the start of August, which may not sound all that impressive until you realize that that is 94 win pace. Thay are also 13-7 over the past 3 weeks. That includes taking 2 of 3 from the Yankees last week in New York. I said back in June they were going to improve as the season went on; they have. They are going to be a very good club come next year, 2020 at the outside.
