    1. His hustle. Easy ground ball to 2nd baseman, and he's running for his life. Slides into 2nd safely on a simple boot. 2. Nice play at 2nd saving Devers a Wild Pitch into RF. And, then, reacting to the situation and getting the out, Have they been hiding this guy somewhere? Looks to me like we're finally in Good-to-great condition every where excepting PITCHING!

    The All Star Game Committee must be wringing their hands re/How do we get this guy here for this game. There is every reason to believe Devers will be leading the AL in at least 4 categories when October rolls arpund. Which four? Who cares, And the AB "showtimes!"! Ordinarily, you would think of a show boat vanity. With Devers, it's so natural it never tires me out. I hate showboats, but he is as natural as the laid back David Ortiz.. The one year's improvement in all categories is something I can't come close to remembering. Last night as midnight approached, I said, "OK, maybe one mor Devers AB. THEN I'll go to bed!

    THANK YOU! Yeh, that was a real fun day for me! (especially when everybody agreed about Mookie!) There was one 30 second moment that having sight in only one eye affected my entire life. March 2, 1943, Armory on Commonwealth Ave. The Colonel says, "Do you want to go?". I said Yes, he asked WHY? I saod because everybody else is going, He said, "You're in" I would have missed 9 months at BC, a year in China and 2 years in Germany. And I met Hank Greenburg in a mess hall in Kunming!!!! Question. Has MARCO ever played 2nd base?

    Looks like a VG switch hitter, Especially left. Where are they going ti find room? Cora is Nunez friendly, but I think room has to be made somewhere for this young man.     I went into shock when I saw Sales still on the mound to start the 6th. I can't think of a word that would fit Coa. Idiot? No. Just not capable. What happened was predictable. TOOTALLY predicatable. Maybe Axen simply has blid spots. I'm fast losing confidence in Cora. This was inexcusable!

    A slump is NOT going from .346 to ,261 in half a season. There is something wrong with Mookie. Eyes? thyroid? hypertension? I would pull him for a week's full examination at someplace like the Cleveland Clinic, Mass Geeral, Walter Reed, etc. It may be physical, it may be mental, but it's sure as hell something! Plaers with 3 or 4 years experience DO NOT take nose dives like this!

    i AGR i agree. They are all inconsistent. When a pitcher is hot (in the groove) it makes no sense to yank him for your next hopeful. There was a time when managers let the middle guys go two or even 3 innings id they were still effective. These guys 1re 71 200 lb athletes. They do no hard work all week. They play catch, run a little, try and stay in shape. THREE INNINGS IS TOO MUCH FOR THEM? If tjeir arms are that weak, they better see a doctor.

    This afternoon, you relieved your starting pitcher with one out in the 6th. He gave up one walk and fanned the other two batters he facedd. THEN YOU TOOK HIM OUT OF THE f***ING GAME! And brought in a pircher who couldn't anybody, and on it went/ Why? Brewer didn't look fatigued, out of breath, arm weary, ot whatever,. Is one inning the mazimum your relievers are allowed to face? Why? Are "lonmg relievers" ;imited to one inning? If theu're pitching well, why are you throwing the dice, and jhoping the next guy will do well also. Wake up. Your present management eforts are stupid. This is about the 10th game YOU have lost this year. with yoir bullpen guesses.

    I, for one, am very worried abouyt Mookie. Without him, there probably will be no playoffs. I can't remember when Mookie came up witj the "Big Hit." One out, rookoe comes up with with base hit. Guaranteed? DP. Somethuing is wring with the man.

    The only sale I'm concerned about is named Chris. Well, that's not quite true. Package him with Barnes, and get them both out of town. I think Wright has a lot on his shoulders right now.. His"change of pace" is always effective.

    I watch parts of Rays games quite often. but on;y to root against them. . I think they are most likely to find a spot because they are (for the time being) very relaxed. Not much was expected of them, and they have managed to make a lot of noise! It is going to make the season interesting, that's for sure!
