    Sumday AM and still feeling ill. I sat here as the 8th inning got under way thinking to myself, wouldn't it be nice if Sale came in from the Pen and and we could put this game in the W column right now. Nope. We don't see thiss 4-5 inning pitcger until his next 4 or 5 inning start. When does the wishful thinking re/Sales, come to a ha;t/ He is the perfect lock down closer who will never again be a winning pitcher as a starting pitcher. Even Eck thinks he's still an all star! And here is a professional anylist who went from a hard throwing starter (eract) to a lock down all star closer. Look in the mirror, Eck!

    THANK YOU AL! I use the Google enhancerm but that has its limitations. Makes thefeed a little largerm but also a lttle blirrier. Last night I watched the Rays/Yankees game with the sound off, and th Sox with the sound on. Just peeking back and forth waiting for Devers lose a hanging curve ball!

    Simple fast. Eck became a Hall pf Famer after (and because) somebody had brains enough to say. "Exk, you're now my closer!". Note: My 94 year old Macr D is worsening by the day. This could be my last thread/ Even with a glass I cannot read the comments!

    Was a hard-throwing starting pitcher for about 10 years. Then he was made a closer. . That change made him an all-star. Know someone in a similar situation? If you were around 40 years ago you would know what I'm talking about.

    One 12015X/momth Lock-Down Closer? I would use Sale for 1 or 2 innings every three days. No more walk-ff home tuns! (I may have been wroung a fw times lately, but trust me on this one!)

    He's a natural athlete, anda naural first baseman. He need to learn some of the nuances of playing first base. but that will come, and easily. At the plate it's the same thing. Sometimes he waits too long, and some times he's too quick. But so what? They all have to learn. Anyone who can hook s ball, then have it straughten out after traveleing 39 ft, does not need to see 3A pitching. We have the best L-R potential 3/4 spots that sgould blossom in another year or two into something special

    Panic? Pretty strong language No, We fig deep and hire a few real baseball people who can tell DD what happened to repair, or get rid of, the chronic non-pergormers. :ike Mookey. Like half of the pitching staff. Yes, and like Devers, Peirce, Nunez and Bradly. Why are JD and Moreland laid up with the same old back spasms? I still have fith in DD, but none of the bench people..

    That was the most obvios spot for an intentional wals that I have ever see,. 2nd and 3rd, 1 out, cleanup hetter coming uo, Go ahead (pronanly winning ) run on second already. Bang! 2 run single. What has gone wrong w/Cora lately? I think it's the PRESSURE. Not like the cake walk of a tear aho.

    The worst stst on the man's sheet is 19 WALKS and 63 K's. I am in Ft Myers, and watch the Sox-Rays games on Fox south, Both announcers reeatedly commented on the overly long swings. He needs a tutor, not a notebook

    There is plenty of evidence that Chavis could be an excellent first baseman. Can he learn to wait? (QAIT WAIT WAIT, QUICK QUICL QUICK) I believe that 390 ft home runs count the sane as he 450 footers do.

    Cgevis, Any suggestions? I guess shortening his swing, learning to WAIT, and taking a deeper breath might help. What sayeth u'all!

    Very good looking lineup. The infield should stay just as it is for at least a weel. No matter who is pitching! Same goes for the catching spot.
