  1. For years, I have said Boone has been the best Sox manager since Tito.
  2. True, but I don't see excitement in criticizing a pitcher who is struggling but getting the job done. It seemed overboard, to me. Then, some poster kept insisting on repeating a false claim made by some clown announcer about out Batting Average leader in 2025. The last straw was the troll saying we should DFA Alcala. I mean the nerve of these so-called fans!
  3. Those guys barely ate up Porcello's money. JH still owed us for Kimbrel and Kelly's from 2019's team. Then there was half Price's money left in JH's wallet, before we even sniffed the lost Betts money. The sham began in 2019, became a shame in 2020 and stayed that way until last winter.
  4. His short time in the bigs should not make people give up on him.
  5. I never said say only good things. I even pointed out that I was negative, too.
  6. Man, we are on a hot streak, and this thread ends up being about Bello's pitch count, Rafaela's BA and Alcala's pending DFA. (Okay, that one was me! LOL!)
  7. Guess who leads the Sox in BA... Qualified .267 Rafaela (378 AB) .262 Duran (449) .257 Story (421) (None others have qualified.) Bregman has 259 ABs and is at .297. Toro is at 222 ABs and .261 Narvaez is at 294 ABs (.252) .249 Abreu 313 .223 Campbell 229
  8. I do? I said you've been right more than wrong on the Sox flopping. Predicting Sox flops for 5 years is not really genius.
  9. Okay, but I corrected that, and you persist. Then you say he's under .250.
  10. If that's what you call it. .213 May 1 .239 June 1 .251 July 1 .262 Aug 1 What are you looking at? .269 Now
  11. I doubt we find someone like this, but we do have Harrison, who has not been with the big club, yet. We may also add Sandlin to the 40 and maybe give him a shot.
  12. Duran was not the only player we could have traded. Abreu was high on some lists. Campbell went from almost everyone's darling to some wanting to trade him. (My guess is that some GM would really want him.) Mid level prospects could have been dealt or packaged. No Grissom dump. No DHam trade.
  13. Who is the odd MEN out of the Woo rotation? 1. Tolle 2. Criswell 3. Fitts 4. Sandlin 5. Early 6. Uberstine 7. de Leon (okay, he's the easy one, but...) Second Q: Do we promote someone to POR, or demote de Leon?
  14. I'm not so sure he likes trading prospects either. I have to think he could have gotten better than M & M by offering other prospects, or better one. He couldn't fine a LHB 1Bman for even just a deal like Cespedes & Mullins?
  15. I think we will, once again, not add a known 1Bman, this winter. We will roll the dice with Casas-Romy or Campbell (with Romy platooning at 2B or DH.)
  16. That short stretch: Slaten, Fitts, Weissert, Sandlin & Judice for Verdugo, Schreiber and Ammons
