  1. That sounds easier than it is. I find myself reading evrything. Sometimes, I don't even look at the poster's name, unless I'm going to respond. For years, I never paid attention to who each poster was, except for certain clowns or noticeably good posters.
  2. Despite Workman's high ERA, he has an 0.98 WHP and .661 OPS against. Maybe he can help at some point. Scott and Buttrey have some proving to do.
  3. How do you block someone? Some of these guys are killing me!
  4. This site is depressing me more than the 2 recent losses to the Yanks.
  5. Yes, 29 teams are just salivating in wait.
  6. JD should have plowed Chapman to Mars!
  7. What a s***** night. Had some big hits, but we missed some golden opportunities.
  8. Thanks to the shift.
  9. I'm a huge JBJ supporter. He's maybe my favorite current Sox player. I'm all for this plan.
  10. trade him to SD for Margot and call it all even.
  11. That might actually help him get to top form.
  12. Swihart's time will be up.
  13. I'd have 100 Ks in 100 PAs, assuming I wasn't demoted before that!!!!
  14. It's not always as easy as just telling yourself, I need to concentrate on this aspect of my swing in order to improve. I was always a less than decent hitter, but whenever anyone tried to help me with some advice, and I tried to think about changing, I got even worse.
  15. I would guess most teams have 2-3 guys who struggle in any given month. Last year, our line-up was pretty consistent from top to bottom, mediocre, that is, but still.... I don't expect the bottom to be bad all year, but they sure looked putrid for the first 5-6 weeks of the season.
  16. At least developed an excess of everyday talent we could trade for pitching (Pedro, Schilling, Peavy, Sale and others). I'm not sure we have that either.
  17. Where will he play? Maybe for Nunez? Give Devers a day off after the Yanks?
  18. I've always kind of assumed Swihart, if given a long look, would prove to be a better hitter than Vaz, but I certainly don't know for sure. I trust Sox management to know more than I do. I know Moreland normally struggles vs lefties, but I'd have liked to have seen him PH for JBJ or Vaz. Strangely, the only way JBJ can get on base anymore is by getting HBP.
  19. Tough loss. We had our chances. Go get 'em tomorrow!
  20. Batting Vaz prooves the Sox don't even think Swihart is a better hitter than Vaz.
  21. Agreed, and if Margot takes a "leap", then the Kimbrel trade may be judged differently.
  22. The Astros hardly ever open their dome. It's a great stadium.
  23. True, and I was one of them, but why is it okay to judge Margot and others in hindsight, based on what they have done since the trade, but not do the same with Shaw?
  24. There's not much choice than to accept where we are right now. Everyone knows I did not want to subject Devers to the defensive learning curve in the midst of a championship run. I hope we don't lose a big game on a 3B error.
