    Brock's highs were 2.8 and 2.1 w bWAR and 2.2 & 2.0 w fWAR. Ceddane has a -0.8 faWAR at 2B, so I'm not sure the versatility factor is adding much to his overall WAR. It's 3.7 in CF. fWAR lists his total as 2.9.

    I don't think it does on the comp in debate. (bWAR is more in line with what I see.)

    Just about every injured Sox players returns after the expected date. I don't think we have to worry about any injured player being rushed back. If anything, the opposite may occur.

    I think, if they felt he was ML ready and the clear best choice, he'd add him to the 40 and call him up.

    Very strange gameplan. The announcer wondered if Love was hurt, but he didn't look it, later in the game. ND is ranked 9th, right behind 2 other 0-1 teams (Texas and Clemson.) Remaining schedule: 19 Texas A&M 9/13 Purdue 9/20 at Arkansas 9/27 Boise St 10/4 NC State 10/11 USC 10/18 at Boston College 11/1 Navy 11/8 at Pittsburgh 11/15 Syracuse 11/22 at Stanford 11/29 (No more currently top ranked teams after A&M.)

We also have 2 of the top 10 RP'ers (50+IP) in ERA-. 23 Chapman (nearly half the next guy!) 2.3 fWAR 1st 42 Cleavinger 44 Munoz 49 Vasil 50 Hader (IL) 55 Newcomb (remember him?) 56 Abreu 58 Armstrong 59 Whitlock (#9) He's 5th in IP by RP'ers (1.7 fWAR is 4th) Does any other team have a better 1-2-3 SP and 1-2 RP quintet?

    I think versatility is not as valuable when you have a 28 man roster, but with 3 catchers, maybe it all evens out. I kinda felt out team needs offense, and KC or Garcia probably offer the best shot at an O booster shot.

    So, a team's record vs the Angels is the best way to determine who is better? I see a clear divide between PHI & LAD and the top AL teams all bunched together: A MIL B LAD & PHI B- TOR, DET, NYY, BOS, SEA, HOU,plus 3 NL teams CHC, SDP, NYM

    Is it fair to say fWAR values or overvalues FIP or xFIP, where as bWAR does not?
