I think the figured they had Kike, Marwin and eventually Duran. With Kike out, we lost one. With Arroyo out and Marwin (not Chavis) at 2B, we lose the second one. With Dalbec struggling, Chavis might be better used at 1B not 2B. BTW, Pillar got off to a slow start, but he's up to .669, now. -

Some of our pen arms are putting up some decent numbers, recently. It's just that that the hits and homers they do let up are killing us. Let's hope last night's outing by Eovaldi is a sign he's getting back in the groove. It's hard to imagine us competing without a healthy and productive Nathan. I'm not sure how much longer the surprise P & P twins will keep this up (Pivetta & Perez). Richards is looking more and more "for real," and he too, needs to stay healthy. ERod is ERod: just win, baby! Do whatever it takes.

It's still early, and Cordero was just one part of the deal. The $2+M saved may come in handy at the deadline. Winckowski 3 PTBNLs Let's wait and see the final numbers on Beni. (I'm not sure I wanna wait on Franchy's final numbers, unless I'm looking at his AAA ones.) -
They probably want him to play 10-14 games before being called up.
