Bobby Dee up to .726, now. The fact that he can go from .655 to .726 in just 3 games shows how small his sample size is. His career numbers are now: .775 OPS (.300 OBP/.475 SLG) .239 22 68 (21 2B+3B) in 420 PAs Projected to 650 PAs: .239 34 107 Posters wanted him demoted, myself included, recently. Posters even wanted him DFA'd. Rinse & repeat.

I get that. Really, I do, but don't say DD didn't make an extreme amount of prospects trades, many of them highly touted, at the time, some not as high as the rankings I posted indicated. It was extreme, but it was worth it. We won a ring, and not many of the guys he traded have done anything close to lighting the world on fire. It's okay to love what DD did, but not sugar coat what it ended up leading to.

All-in-all, a pretty good game by Sale. 70 pitches- 47 strikes. He hit 95 a couple time, I think. The dinger was not good, but I'm glad to see him back. His presence in the clubhouse has to give us a big boost, too.

The thing about Price was that he and Scherzer were two of the best FA starters to come along in a pretty wide window. Once we failed to pounce on Scherzer, I think we had to sign Price. The other thing was that when you sign an aging pitcher like Price to 8 years, you really want some big bangs in the first few years. I never saw it. Sure, he had some good years and key moments, but he was far from Scherzer.

I'm not doubting your reasons for liking Sevi's chances and timeline over Sale, but I still find it kinda funny. Plus, I tried to tell you Sale is no average patient.

The tax affects very few teams and players, especially the 3rd year part. The number one thing players should fight for, IMO, is greater pay equity. When 1 or two players can make more than a whole team, something is out of whack. Min wage should be tripled or quadrupled, time to reach arbs reduced and the amount of arb years, as well.
