Barnes is way off, but it would be nice to have a team behind him that maybe helps pick him up, instead of helping drive him into complete despair.

I never said I was confident, but I'm not confident of any pitcher needing 5 outs and counting in an inning. I'm not defending Barnes. I'm attacking our D and Plawecki's CERA numbers!

I think I said he might opt out. I'm on the fence but only because of Schwarber. If we lose JD, we'd be much more likely to find a way to get Schwarber back.

Indeed. Kike, Renfroe and Whitlock were his best winter moves (ML'ers only). Last year's additions that look good, include Arroyo, Pivetta, Valdez & Plawecki.

I'd like him to finish, too, but I'm not sure about afterwards. Also, if it cam down to JD vs Schwarber for 2022, and we could only keep one, I might choose Kyle.
