Certainly to a lesser degree, but he still made some very nice plays most RF'ers don't make, and he made some look easy, so maybe we didn't notice.

I seriously doubt the moves Bloom made will make a difference enough to get us into the playoffs. The returning IL players should have a bigger impact. I see the moves made as being a bigger plus for 2023 and beyond, but still a slight plus for 2022- maybe more, if McGuire can hit a little better.

I'd say the odds we become a low budget team is less than .01%. It's cyclical. This wasn't the season to go all in, and we can see why, now, right? Maybe next year. Maybe 2024. We will be big winter spenders, again. (We spent a lot, this past winter.)

5 hits sucks, 4 walks is okay and 5 runs is fine. Sure, we got lucky a couple times, but we've had our share of bad luck. We got the win. I just don't get the need to pick apart every bad moment or thing about every game. Thank God, Barnes saved the 9th, or there would be 30 pages of what a huge mistake it was to bring him in, and how Cora is an idiot. -

Pivetta needed tonight. He had a 7.97 ERA in his previous 7 starts, although it was 4.57, the previous 4 games, before tonight. Wacha is at 2.70 in his last 4 starts. Crawford is at 3.21 since May 6th. (56 IP) Nate is at 2.95 his last 3 starts (18.1 IP) Wink is at 3.45 in his last 3 games and 4.27 since his first game in the bigs.

It's easy to pick out the worst of every game. It wasn't a good night for Davis, but the team picked him up, except for that 2B. I get the feeling had Barnes blown the game, you wouldn't have called it a "good move," right?

With Kike and Refsnyder now on the 26, Wacha and others back, Hosmer, Pham and McGuire added, we look like a different team than a couple weeks ago. Others still out hurt: Story: will apparently travel with Sox to Pittsburgh. Houck: receiving treatment for back Strahm: begins rehab, this week. Danish: begins rehab Wednesday Bello: will have a rehab start on Sunday Paxton: should begin rehab assignment, soon. Taylor: rehab shut down Sale: toast If Story, Houck and Strahm join the 26 man roster, soon, I'm assuming Duran or Dalbec get sent down for Story and Wink and Familia (DFA?) for Houck & Strahm.
