  1. Apparently, his lack of comprehension goes beyond just reading and simple logic.
  2. I'm thinking there is less pressure when we are down 5-0, early.
  3. Why does it seem like the pen does much better in games where the starter sucks?
  4. I remember, yes, but back then, I didn't pay much attention to who was who. I just responded to posts. Maybe that was a better way to do it.
  5. Agreed. There is room for both on the budget, but it would cut into Bloom's ability to fill out the rest of the roster, which will have some big holes in need of filling. I doubt he fields a team with Judge in RF, but Downs/Arroyo at 2B or SS (wherever Story does not play), Casas./Cordero/Dalbec at 1B and some combination of Wink, Seabold, Bello or Crawford in the rotation replacing 2 or 3 of Nate, Wacha & Hill. IMO, if we extend Devers, this winter, we will spread out the rest of the winter spending budget to build a more deeper team, instead of a top heavy one. Just my opinion.
  6. As much as I find JD annoying and trollish, I'm not sure he's done anything worse than some Sox posters, but I'm not aware of his past incarnations and transgressions. Speaking of Skeeters, the Sugar Land Skeeters changed their name to the Space Cowboys.
  7. With Sale and Nate about to be activated, I think Bello gets sent down, for now. His next ML experience may be as a RP'er. For now, I think Wink and Seabold might be ahead of Bello on the rotation depth chart.
  8. Exactly, but even after you put him on ignore, he apparently still goes on and on.
  9. I'm not sure we go large and long on any 1Bman, this winter, due to Casas being in the system and ML ready, once he returns from the IL and gets some rehab work. Abreu might sign for 1 year, but probably not.
  10. Agreed, and it sure was nice watching the best 2 man combination of the decade, but it's not the only way to win it all, and I don't think Bloom's philosophy is to put all your eggs in 2 baskets.
  11. I’d rather they sign him than both Bogey and JD combined, but I’m not sure hi fits into Bloom’s priorities. Sorry for the non answer, but I have no idea. If I had to guess, I’d say no.
  12. Close game. Bad result. Get ‘em tomorrow!!!!
  13. Maybe he’s been banned from all Yankee forums, or spends 12 hours a day here and 12 on Yankee sites.
  14. It’s one game, but yes, disappointing.
  15. Plus, bad eyesight vs no reading comprehension is not a battle I'd choose to start.
  16. He's on the IL.
  17. The 5 BBs might mean they will insists on one more rehab start, but who knows?
  18. It's not just Whitlock being added to the pen. When we get other starters back, we'll have the option of moving Hill, Wink, Seabold, Crawford and or Bello to the pen. Maybe we trade a marginal pen arm or demote Danish. Right now, with Robles gone, we don't have many active pen arms stinking up the place. OPS Against Last 28 days (last 14 listed as well) .348 Schreiber (.217) .439 Brasier (.705) .525 Diekman (.465) .562 Crawford (.255) .628 Davis (.182) .628 Danish (.466) .636 Sawamura (.408) .667 Houck (.568) .833 Strahm (.833) (.623 Wink to pen?) That's 8 RP'ers doing well in the last 14 and last 28 together. Strahm is not one of those 8, but I doubt we give up on him, this quickly.
  19. Exciting and scary at the same time.
  20. I'm thinking the 1B/RF'er we get plays 1B, mostly, as Kike plays CF or RF. He might play RF, when we rest an OF'er. I'm also not convinced Duran will still be hitting very well by the deadline, but certainly, if he is, he keeps playing FT. I also agree that RP'er is our highest need area.
  21. About time!
  22. His .332 OBP is not bad, and he has 16 SBs (4 CS).
  23. The fact that we are still slotted in the #1 WC position with 80% of our rotation hurt says something about the depth this team has added over the last 2-3 years. It's also a bit surprising to see Duran and Refsnyder ahead of Bogey and JD in OPS and RBI's per PA, but with all these sample sizes are rather small.
