    I’m not sure about the new rules, but September call ups didn’t used to count against a player’s service time in the past, I believe.

    Why would the Sox trade him to Detroit and pay his whole deal for next to nothing in return? Detroit is not looking for rentals. No bad teams are.

    That was the plan, this year: Dalbec bridge to Casas. I do think Bloom will have to choose a slot or two to fill with prospects, and 1B will probably be one of them. Then, if Casas fails, Bloom will be bashed again for not spending what Henry didn’t give him in the first place.

    This would greatly improve the return value and the amount of teams bidding against each other to get a select few of the short term players we have with value.

    It’s why he and Red are in ignore. I was firmly against the Renfroe trade from day one, and caught s*** for weeks for daring to say it was a head scratcher. These guys’ memories are worse than their logic
