  1. You brought up the timing as a factor.
  2. Again, Bloom was the doctor?
  3. The word "bashing" is actually an understatement when it comes to your obsessive absurdities related to Bloom bashing. You even blamed him for a player extensions made by DD. All because you disliked the hiring day one, and want to show how right you were. yes, we know why.
  4. Your idiocy is so blatant. I never came close to even hinting at the implication that there might be a sliver of a tiny chance the "medical was missed." My point was about blaming Bloom for a medical report. Was the examining doctor? Do you have evidence it was in the report and Bloom ignored it? You sure act that way, and that cracks me up, bigtime. I'm literally laughing out loud, right now. How you jump to so many wrong conclusions from clear and simple statements by posters is wonder to us all... like notin's comment about Turner on the bench. You never get context. it's your Kryptonite.
  5. Going playground is what you do best. Kudos. You do it well.
  6. Did he re-injure his arm throwing away the Christmas wrapping paper?
  7. I'm not covering jack. The obsessive Bloom-bashing is a fact. Every single thing, including the backed up toilet during the May 23rd game is Bloom's fault. No doubt, he's made mistakes and huge mistakes. I've pointed out many, myself. There is no balancing done by certain Bloom bashers, and it is clearly reaching absurdly obsessive levels.
  8. Get the facts straight. I was the one who did not know about his arm issues and questioned why he wasn't going to play SS, instead of Bogey. Geesh!
  9. You don't even realize how you expose yourself on things like this. That's the part that cracks me up.
  10. I'm not an expert on MLB negotiations, and my guess is they may vary from agent to agent and GM to GM, but is it possible that BorA$$ did not respond to the lowball $30M offer, because it was absurd, and maybe Bloom said something like, "Is $180M to $200M/6 in the ball park to start discussions?" and BorA$$ said "no." I guess we'd probably have heard about it, ig this happened, but do we know it didn't happen? Would it change people's opinions even a little bit, if we knew we floated $200M and that number was shot down, laughed at or ignored like the $30M/1 extension was? Just a hypothetical, and maybe someday we will know more details. I'm not trying to defend not extending Bogey earlier. I wish we did way back when- same with betts and Devers, but I do think we need to know all the facts before passing final judgement. Yes, the $30M/1 was a slap in the face and deserves severe criticism, but beyond that, what really happened and did not happen? My "conspiracy theory" is Bloom never offered what BorA$$ and Bogey would accept. I'm still waiting for evidence to refute this wild & crazy theory.
  11. Yes, and Story's physical, too!
  12. Probably, maybe, likely, yes. I'm 100% sure we could have gotten Bogey for less than he signed for. We don't have the set number, though. I'm on board with thinking $180-200M is probably close to what he would have taken. I have never said this is wrong, only that we don't know the least he would have accepted, and we do know Bloom never offered a deal he'd have accepted. That's about it. Somehow that is viewed as a conspiracy theory by one poster.
  13. Everything is Bloom's fault. The obsessiveness is getting astounding.
  14. No doubt. I'm just pointing out that so-so D at a premium position is probably not any better than so-so at 3B.
  15. Doctor Bloom, to you.
  16. Is it too late to offer Correa $201M?
  17. Bogey didn't really "impact the game" with his D, either. Betts was the full deal.
  18. Yes, they must have known Story would get hurt and should have paid Bogey twice the contract total.
  19. I never understand why they don't do this in October, or if known before, the day after we were eliminated from playoff contention.
  20. On Correa per MLBTR... Jon Heyman of the New York Post clarifies the vesting provisions for Correa’s options (Twitter link). Correa would need 575 plate appearances in 2028 to automatically vest his $25MM option for the 2029 season. That number drops to 550 in 2029 (in order to vest his 2030 option), 525 in 2030 (to vest his 2031 option) and 502 in 2031 (to vest his 2032 option). The Athletic’s Dan Hayes tweets that the Twins can still pick up any of the club options on Correa if he doesn’t meet the criteria for plate appearances. Correa will also have a full no-trade clause, per Heyman. Makes me wonder why the Mets did not offer something like this.
  21. Apparently, the Mets would only guarantee half the contract- about $157M. The Twins offered $43M more guaranteed! I was kinda hoping to see Correa in the NL, but at least he's not a Yankee.
  22. Maybe waiting for the Correa shoe to drop? Looks like it just did with a stomp on the Mets.
  23. I wonder what kind of medical riders the Giants and Mets were insisting on. They must have been major. It looks like the Twins made out very well, assuming to IL time over the leg issue.
  24. Wow! That's what many felt Bogey should have gotten.
