True. Assuming both are 100%, Bello has the edge in April, IMO.

The Six could also trade a low level prospect to get Song back, if the really want him. Hard to know.

I’m not expecting greatness from Pivetta, but I feel confident he can give us 30 starts at about a 4.50 ERA. I would not be surprised by 3.90 to 4.10, either. I think he has a better chance at that than 4.90-5.10.

One can pitch well and still have 2 bad pitches. Also, sometimes HRs are hit off good pitches. (I did not see the game.)

The guy could go on a streak, even if fuelled by mostly luck. Zero % is harsh, and this from a guy who has had Ort on the top of the DFA list for maybe the last 10 DFAs!

I usually start watching the game around 1.5 hours after it started with no sound. I fast forward commercials and in between pitches until I catch up live around the 8th or 9th inning. I’m going to have to be quicker on the between pitches motions.

It just seems to me, there are dozens of pitchers like Ort available at any given time, and I’m talking waiver wire access.

He seems like the perfect pitcher to assume Whitlock’s role as a 2-3 inning RP’er. I’d put him there, now. Start a kid until a vet comes back.

It might happen, soon. I have to think nobody would claim him, and he could still remain in the system, but if someone does claim him, so what?
