  1. Rocky Bleier doesn’t count?
  2. Crawford has started 2 and may end up starting more, if some of these guys don't start turning it around like Sale and Bello appear to be doing. Even Houck, has faded a bit.
  3. I listed guys that moved from one ranking to the very next. The thing about Perales, is that he was injured, but jumped so high, I do wonder if they may end up thinking they go over-excited, assuming he keeps struggling until the summer rankings. They jumped Drohan a ton over the winter, and now he is confirming they were not wrong. I think there is a chance they flip, if they both keep pitching like they are now. It's no slight on Perales.
  4. No. I said "maybe." Maybe we trade him. I did mention 1B over catcher, so maybe I am undervaluing Casas.
  5. Agreed, there is not much jumping in the top 10. I did find a few examples of jumps from one ranking to the next:: Downs from 5 to 13 from Fall 21 to spring '22 and Gilbert 9 to 18 in the same time. Not many drop from Spring to Summer. Ward 8 to 17 in '21 2019: Mata 10 to 4 and DHern 2 to 5 (Mata jumped DHern) 2018: many jumped Sam Travis as he dropped from #5 to #20. (Beeks 13>6) 2017: Dalbec 5>9- and Raudes #8>#20 (Mata #16>#6) 2015: #6 ERod> #1 Jumped Devers, Moncada, Margot & Owens
  6. I'd say our biggest gaps will be 2-3 slots in the rotation, some pen arms and maybe 1B, RF and SS.
  7. Yes, and there are certainly some gaps: Here is soxprospects.com projected 2025 roster: C Wong/McGuire 1B Casas/Kavadas 2B Story/EValdez 3B Devers/Lugo SS Mayer/Hamilton LF Yoshida CF Rafaela RF Duran/Abreu DH Yorke (EValdez) SP Whitlock, Bello, Mata, Walter, Drohan RP Houck, Schreiber, Wink, Crawford, Mills, Kelly, Murphy, Guerrero, Fernandez 2026 Wikelman & Perales join the rotation Bleis takes over RF Hickey is the backup catcher Romero joins the bench
  8. Sounds like the 2025 thread has begun.
  9. Fun series with the Jays: MON Kluber v Berrios TUE Kikuchi v Houck WED TBD v Pivetta THU TBD v Bello
  10. Certainly, if Perales turns things around, he'll stay ahead. I'm also assuming Drohan keeps mowing guys down. I'm hoping he moves up to AAA, at some point. On another note, the Sea Dogs scored 4 in the 10. Kavadas walked 4 times. Lugo 3-5 with 3 rbi & two 2Bs Koss 2-5 w BB & 3B Greenville got killed, again. Nothing much to report, except 2BBs by Ferguson.
  11. I was hoping this winter would be “the time” we add an ace, but the powers to be keep going with $7-10M hopes and dreams.
  12. All ALE teams have winning records.
  13. Hardly any action on the Yankee thread, either. Like I pointed out to Jacko, earlier, if the Sox are “horrible,” and the Yanks are tied with us, what does that make them?
  14. And both are currently breathing.
  15. E Valdez at DH? Mayer/Rafaela at SS?
  16. Too early to know about Duran and Wong, but I’m liking what I see, too. I think 1B will be fine, in the long run, and with so many players hitting well, we can always shuffle Turner to 1B and go with the hot bat at DH, even if as a platoon. Arroyo’s warming up makes 2B look much better, now, but I’m not convinced he can last until Story or Mondesi return. Look how well we are hitting without Duvall! Wow! We will need more than Sale and Bello doing well as SPers, but we had to start somewhere. We need the others to regress back to the mean.
  17. Raley hit is 7th to give the Rays the late lead on CWS, 5-4 in the 8th.
  18. Final: BAL 5 DET 3 TEX up 14-1 on NYY in the 7th. SEA has tied TOR 8-8 in the 9th. TBR losing 4-3 to CWS in 8th.
  19. We are .500 or better vs every other opponent, and all but two (CLE & DET) have winning records against all others. Somehow the doom n gloom narrative is that we can't beat winning teams.
  20. Perales is really not doing well. 6.75 in A- at age 20. While Drohan is 24, he's lighting up AA after jumping from #26 to #13 over the winter. Mata will be hard to pass by the midsummer rankings, but I could see him passing Perales. (In all fairness, Perales jumped from unranked to 10th from last summer's rankings to the fall one.)
  21. Thanks. We all needed to hear this one more time.
  22. Cortes got lit up by TEX, and the Yanks are down 9-1. We may be tied with the almighty Yanks, after today. BAL & TOR are holding slim, late leads, The Rays are down 1, late. There's a chance we can be tied for a WC slot, after tonight's games.
  23. It seems like yesterday Wong and Arroyo were South of Mendoza. Now, both are north of Interstate 240.
  24. He's changed his approach like a dozen times in 6 years.
  25. Sale's ERA went from 8.22 to 6.75. Same as Kluber.
