If one wants to expand the definition of "cheating" to stealing signs, using corked bats, doctoring baseballs and using technology or PEDS, my guess is half the league would be guilty. That's not saying it's okay, but really? Ban all cheaters? Do we ban the whole Sox team that used apple watches? Cora served his time, as did Hinch and Lunhow. I guess redemption is not something some believe in. No glass in their houses.

I haven't enjoyed the NFL much in years. College football is better, IMO. I enjoy March madness more than the NBA playoffs. MLB beats college baseball, hands down.

True, but some of those slots go to returning 60 Day IL players and another 5-7 for Rule 5 additions. If we do as I suggest, and add just 3-4 quality FAs or trade additions, instead of 7-10 "quantity additions" like we have in the past few years, we won't need to trade Walter to open a slot, but if we sign a bunch or mediocre FAs, then he may get squeezed.

He might be back, but not at that option price. I also think they now see Yoshida s the DH and with a bunch of LF'ers on the roster, it makes too much sense to not move Yoshi there.

Agreed on Walter, although he could be part of a trade package, if we think we need to open up a roster slot for a FA addition.

I'm not presumming anything. You did, when you said he was cheating, then back-peddled to "suspect," and now are swinging back to assuming he still is.

I could see them saying no to Joely's $4.25 option ($500K buyout,) too. Also, add to the possible DFA list: Walter DHam We may also trade Duran or Dugo, or maybe Refsnyder, if we bring back Duvall.

...and 2B and LF, if Yoshida DHs 120+ games. C, 1B & 3B offer hope, but nothing to suggest improvement is likely.

I did not say a manager cannot improve a player's defense. I even said he shares in the blame. The roster was ridiculed from day one, then injuries and declines from some vets occurred, yet somehow, Cora is to blame. Listening to you guys, all year, the sum of the parts sucked, and Cora nearly got us to .500.
