    He's been okay in his second stint as a starter, this year, too. He went 6.1, today with just 2 ER. SP and first 2 RP outings to start 2023: 6.15 ERA (5.47 FIP) Next 15 games as RP only: 1.51 (2.42) Last 10 games, before today (5 GS/5 RP) 5.44 ERA (4.59) 4.69 ERA, if you add today and make it his last 11 games.     He could end up being an ace of a solid #3, but planning on it is a big mistake.

    Story is not here without Bloom. How is that irrelevant? (Unless, you think the signing was not Bloom's idea.) The point being made was that the next GM might view Story differently than Bloom, as in better at 2B.

    Outscored 41 to 37 while going 2-7 in our last 9. This has got to be killing Cora, Turner and the vets and players who gave it their all, this year. Sad way to end a season, for sure.

    I don't think MIA wants a one year OF'er like Dugo. They may or may not value Duran, but he should give more return than Dugo. Rafaela or Abreu might be more in line with what they want. Anthony could be a "headline," but he's "untouchable" to many, here. Most of the Marlin pitchers mentioned have 5-6 years of control, so we will have to trade a big time young player or prospect to get one. Dugo and Duran are not headliners. Mayer, Casas, Anthony and maybe Rafaela or Bleis, but the latter two would take some other higher second tier guys like Wikelman, Zanetello or Perales.

I know, saying "just" 3 major SP'ers away is like asking for the world, but it is only 3 slots.

    It should be a requirement for anyone who says I would not trade _____ to have to add who they would trade, then. (And not Dalbec, Mata and Reyes for an ace, either.)

    I'm not sure if part of it was the serious injury, but he should know and be told, he will be in the pen 100%, next season. Let's hope a reset works, because he used to have the nasty stuff needed to be a highly effective RP'er.

    I still like the thrid option best, and it may not cost a penny more, plus we get something for Dugo.

    Lovin it! But why with the only time of the game with no men on base.

    He'd be a great defensive 2Bman, for sure, and was in 2022. It's hard and costly to find great SSs who can play better D than Story. He already has a 5+ DRS, which projects to about a league leading +20 over a season. His 10.5 UZR.150 is second to Gunnar Henderson, this year. We have a few in our system that may win the job from him, eventually, so maybe just keeping Story at SS, until that day makes the most sense. Mayer Zanetello Cespedes Romero
