  1. The mound must be broken?
  2. I was fine when we traded Iggy for pitching in the stretch run of a WS winning season. Pitching = parades. the debate on the former forum was that we could have kept iggy and moved X-Bo to 3rd and locked down the left side for a decade. well, X-Bo has taken yuuuge strides defensively and a guy named travis is putting his stamp on 3b. the left side could very well be locked up for the next decade. and IMO will be a superior left side to X-Bo-Iggy........
  3. wow. for billionaires that is really not a smart business decision?!
  4. who the heck is Erik Johnson? this will be his first appearance in 2016. Sox have never faced him. i am always leery of this because we usually stink against an SP we have never seen before. 2015 he had a 3.34 ERA in 6 GS (35 IP). 1.4 WHIP. not much of a book.
  5. Price is on the bump?
  6. he just pitched 6 innings of 2 run ball v the MFY. do you even watch the games?
  7. Red v White Right v Wrong Good v Bad Democracy v Communism LETS GO SOX! (the red ones). Chicago White Sox vs. Boston Red Sox, at U.S. Cellular Field, May 5, 2016 Date: Thursday, May 5, 2016 Start Time: 7:10ct (local), 8:10et Venue: U.S. Cellular Field Series: Game #3 of a 3-game series Average Temp: 62° (based on last ten years) (today is calling for "breezy high of 51F) SP: Henry Owens (23, LHP, 0-0, 4.82) v SP: Erik Johnson (26, RHP, 0-0, undef)
  8. thats ok. we will just have him pitch to the NYY.
  9. you can get insurance for anything you can ever think of. so teams can most certainly purchase insurance on any level of injury/DL stints. I highly doubt the Sox FO is announcing who they have insurance on and who they dont. but i would love to see your source for stating they do not insure their players for injury.
  10. i almost forgot how much i love you Kimmi.
  11. i dont see how? we have a low cost replacement that is playing quite well. and have DL'd the Butterball enabling John Henry to recoup Insurance monies.
  12. GAME 27 - JE JBj: 1-4 JE: 0-0 / BB / RS / 2SB Score: JBj: 14 JE: 8 Tie: 5
  13. OP updated to include Clay's stats.......
  14. Perhaps the peripheral numbers point to Price's mediocre FB that he is not even close to locating getting absolutely pummeled. if he wants his BABIP to go down maybe he should start pitching like an "Ace" and not like a "Clay".....
  15. i 100% believe this article on the subject: http://espn.go.com/espn/eticket/story?page=manny
  16. i would expect JF to have Young in LF.
  17. yup. this is the thread ender right here.
  18. trading Manny July 2008. We keep him and we win that WS. and to me winning the WS outweighs the waste of money that was spent on Pablo, CC, or Craig. Boras forced the teams hand by instigating Manny to act like a clown but FO could have easily gotten him back in line.
