    other than 2 outs RISP hanram's "clutch stats" on BR are pretty solid. if you want to blame him for us only being in first place by 4 games instead of 8 games i suppose that is your prerogative. btw - CY's beard is getting long. like muslim long. not surprised he's getting put on the "hater" list. JBj best watch himself. they be working on sounding R-tick-U-lit for y'all..... i wonder if Manny's locks bothered people? oh yeah....they did. but remember: pedroia is latino!!! so we are good with our soft racism..... carry on.

Vaz tonight? i believe so. Rajai leading off again? he effing better be. he's WDR dance had me perplexed though. need to see it again. tonight. Closer? i'm going with Kelly. btw - john gibbons has the worst mooka face in all of baseball. he constantly looks like someone just pulled out their weiner and pissed into his bowl of cheerios. i might hate his face more than i hate showalters. TBD.....

    UPDATE. 30 GAMES TO GO. 75-57 Currently we are in 1st place in the division. FanGraphs odds to win the division: 89.2% 4 Games ahead of MFY (3 in the loss column). Stick a fork in Tampa and Toronto. Baltimore trying to fight back into the Playin Game mix.

    it also works if we blow them out tonight and dont even need a "closer". it also works if we are losing tonights game and never need to bring in a "closer". i prefer option 1.

    LF was so 3 years ago and certainly wasnt his idea. the entire team is guilty of baserunning flubs. i have no issues with his salary. overpay? yes. but it's not even in the same hemisphere as some of the other salary blunders the Sox have done the past handful of years. anyways max, my original reply wasn't even to you.

    He leads the team in HR's. he plays a serviceable first base whenever asked. He doesn't say peep when replaced in the game for defense and doesn't say peep when dropped in the order. Is it the dreads that make you despise him????

Anderson has an 8.18 ERA so we better score ~47 runs tonight, Eh. lineups not announced yet but i am guessing Holt will be in it FFS, Eh. Vaz and his 4-4 will most likely take a seat because Leon catches Sale or some stupid s***, Eh. LHP so i expect CY to be in the lineup but not at the expense of Holt, Eh. god dammit just WIN.

    i hear you on Kimbrel. he's been absolutly lights out this season so it was nice that he had the full cushion when he hit the bump last night. as for Reed...i know its a sss but in the handful or so games that he pitched in the 8th inning for us he has given up 437 HR's. i'm OK with him being our 7th inning guy for the time being.

    Reed in the 7th looks good. I don't like him in the 8th. Kimbrel needed every one of those runs. Made us sweat like it was 2016.

    FYI...that slide from machado caused the injury. He took pedroia out. He took Nunez out. He threw his arms toward him on the slide and pinned nunez' arm to the ground. Watch it again and you'll see.
