    i'm actually not even bothered by scorer giving the batter a hit there. a hit only pisses off 1 person, an error pisses off 2. but X needs to at least knock that ball down, if not catch it with leather. what he did allowed the runner to get into scoring position. IMO that's what makes it "boneheaded". situational awareness. go-ahead runner on 1b in the 8th inning is 73% less stressful than a runner on 2b in that situation.

    i live in NJ. so, yeah, losing to the MFY in the postseason is about 1 billion times worse than losing to anyone else. but it also made 2004 that much sweeter... but i no doubt had a mini heart attack 14 times in October 2003 & 2004....not sure if the ticker can take 7 more of those 13 years later......

    Yup. POM deal looks like gold right now. if he throws up some W's on the way to a parade this year it will go down as a brilliant trade. In the end, I was dead wrong on Lackey. i hope this ends up the same way.
