    My problem was the overpay for kimbrel and the Pom deal. Those players could have been used to land sale and we could still have yoan....

    it will be interesting to see if Sale gets frustrated if he continues to receive minimal run support and continues to receive no-decisions. he is still yet to get paid so although wins dont mean much to us astute TS forum members something tells me his agent would like him to get a heap of them.....

    this is exactly my point in the JBj thread. when the players you are paying to hit the ball actually...hit the ball. you can have your #9 hitter be a #9 hitter. defense is the primary matter for catcher and CFer.

    Does anyone think the Sox would have this same record if JF was still the manager? Max - you were the biggest supporter of JF right until the final game last season (and maybe his only supporter by that time). would love to hear your thoughts on this. I had been a big defender of his along with you up until late Spring/early Summer last year when i finally had enough. you, AFAIK, never reached that breaking point with JF. looking back, do you think you should have?

    yup. its totally unfair that the Red Sox have only played s***** teams so far this season and the Yankees had a super hard schedule. they had to play the Red Sox while we got to feast on weak opponents like the Yankees. guess we will have to wait and see how good we are when we fly out west and face the vaunted Angels and their unbelievable pitching phenom Ohtani. oh wait...nevermind. troll on....
