    lets talk the 2020 baseball. the actual ball. do you guys think it will be another version of the Manfred Missile? or do you think they back off of that and return the ball to 2018 level?

    i hear this. but IMO red sox FO (see: JH) would never even consider offering Mookie a LTC next offseason if the Red Sox didnt reset this year. and i believe that is their #1 priority. thats what made this (trading betts + price now) the only move. this was the one season that they could reset and still get Mookie back on a LTC next year.

    fair. and i do have faith in bloom but will still always question every move and every non move whether i agree or disagree with said moves. its what we do here. #pitchergate

    he was but then he found the miami clinics.... betts is 100% in his prime. it sucks that we dont have him this season but it was the only way (IMO) to have him for the next 10 seasons.....

    depends on the motherload. if Los Dodgers offered lux, may, gray or Pads offered gore, patino, trammel i would have to give it serious serious consideration....

    yes, but i believe without doubt if he played in that super bowl vs the Eagles we would have won. we would have stopped a couple of those 3rd and long plays....nick freakin foles.....

    dammit. that one is my hot button. i will never forgive him for that one. but the point remains...we still havent received an answer from ANYONE on that one. not from the player, not from the owner, the HC, or any of the other coaching staff. it is still all just guesses and the question doesnt even get asked anymore.....

    definitely bad news. based on AC being a big part of the 2017 Astros sign stealing scheme and the success that brought (see: parade) i would imagine that a very very very similar methodology was utilized by the 2018 Red Sox under WTF's tutelage.....

    pitching....there is no doubt in my mind that bloom has a plan. it will be fun to keep guessing as to what that plan is but based on his history....i expect us to have a pretty solid staff in the coming years. patience is required though.

    oh i agree. the media will always try and get someone to say something. the FO (especially the owner) needs to take a page out of the BB playbook. say words that dont mean anything or say nothing at all. i dont blame shaughnessy one bit. that was a great get by him....
