    my guess is that player is currently in middle school. but the $500MM contract is inevitable. as for MLB players not being able to do what we can do.....unfortunately for us....millions of people dont buy tickets to come and watch us work or buy tshirts with our company name on the front and our last name on the back......

    so it looks like i was dead wrong on Giancarlo. i wanted the Sox to get him. badly. so glad he will spend the next 7 years on the yankees IL instead of Sox.... this one may end up in the running for "worst baseball contract ever".....

    the money is spread evenly across the length of contract for tax purposes. basically: total amount of contract / # of years = AAV for tax purposes it doesnt matter if the player gets 90% of the money in the first year. it will be distributed evenly among all the years the contract is for.

    Major League Baseball's investigation into the Boston Red Sox allegedly stealing signs during their World Series-winning 2018 season is reportedly expected to conclude in March. Jon Heyman of MLB Network reported the delay is likely so MLB can "inform any affected parties ahead of [the] announcement."

    we will use an opener / BP game 2x through if we have to. maybe even 3. i'm still trying to wrap my head around "opener/BP" games but will need to do it quick as we will be seeing this all season long. the kids that can throw will get many chances this season.
