  1. LOL at the "if". hahahahahahahahaha. hammer has become the nail.....
  2. oh this is easy. whomever the yankees player is at each position is the best. duh.
  3. wait...what? wasnt Gray the final pitching piece to get a pennant for yamkees???!!! that's what jacksonianmarch told us all when they obtained him. guess not. next.
  4. back to back to back to back it is what it is until proven otherwise. perhaps we just win all our games 10-9........ "wait til next year" "our pen is better"
  5. some people expect high paid all stars at every position.
  6. who knows. maybe this year we win with an unknown closer that acts elite. we dont have to look too far back in the past to actually see an example of this (Koji). keep trying tho......
  7. the exact EXACT same thing could be said about Hanley Remirez but you have no trouble taking shots at him over and over again........
  8. they both have dreads? well, one was one of the GREATEST players to ever play for the Boston Red Sox and the other was at the tail end of a career. One of them helped break the curse that plagued us for almost a century and launched us into the success that is now the Boston Red Sox. watch this video to be reminded how fun it was to have him.....
  9. hahahaha. you think DD has "no contingencies"????!!!!! if it is one thing we have learned...the dude has in season answers for EVERY contingency.
  10. c'mon Notin. the Yankees are the best at every position, every coach, every thing. i mean, based on Jacksonianmarch's posts over the years surely the NYY have been robbed of the world series every year. they are the best!
  11. there also might be no real pressure or urgency as we are sitting on a title. but hey, Brasier has a sordid production history. so yeah, there's that......
  12. plane crash? or drunk driving? sad!
  13. LOL....if that makes you feel better about it.
  14. might be tired from carrying around that World Series trophy all winter......
  15. it's not as scary when it's on the DL or september
  16. hahahaha. what? do you even know which team you root for? or are you delusional thinking the yankees were in the ALCS this year? too funny.
  17. this post should have ended this stupid thread.
  18. 2018 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox i love how yankees fans have literally become pre-2004 red sox fans. "wait til next year" "our rotation is better" "we have the best farm" there is no longer a doubt....hammer has become the nail.....
  19. fine. i still dont want to sign Evo to 4 years and lose Sale or possibly Porc or whomever is a FA SP in a year or two.....
  20. i would be more inclined to see who are FA pitchers next offseason to replace Porcello (as opposed to signing Evo to a 4 year deal). Porcello may even be the best bet to sign. we get 1 more year to evaluate him.
  21. i think JH blows past the payroll threshhold again this season. but i think he wants to reset the following year. this prevents us from signing LTC like Eovaldi (or Kimbrel). does Evo want to sign a 1 year deal? i'll pay him a large sum to sign a 1 year contract with us. beyond that....it aint gonna happen. unless we plan on not resigning Sale next year and replacing him with Evo? that plan is not for me tho. Evo is a ticking time bomb that has already exploded a couple times.....
  22. but the Doctor that performed his latest TJ surgery has stated that his arm is perfectly healthy. shouldn't we just believe the Doctor that performed the surgery? surely he wouldn't bend the truth or offer alternative Facts about the results of a procedure that he performed?!?
  23. well...this is true too. hard to argue. i just dont think we are in the position to spend this money right now. i think we have to live what we have on the roster for SP other than picking up some very very low $ single year contracts. AKA dumpster dives.
  24. i mean he did pitch 6 innings of an 18 inning WS game so surely he is worth $60MM/4 years. who cares that it destroys our ability to reset the LT he was the hero of a WS Loss!
