some of those 5 wins were because he blew the save and the team got him off the hook. how many of the "47 wins that he was directly involved in" would turn into L's by a mere mortal closer? more than 8? i use 8 because that is how many games we won the division by + we coasted in September. i could have pitched the same innings in the postseason and had the same result as CK.

real talk. none of it does (plastic anyway). some paper is recycled. pre trade war we would send all our plastic to China but they were just landfilling it anyways. the best thing we can do is get a Swell bottle (or similar) and just refill it.

I'm not saying i am for 3 batter rule (my post from month ago proposed 2 batter minimum if 1st batter did not end current inning). but let me play devils advocate on the 3 batter rule. pitcher gives up 2 bombs? must face 3rd batter. manager has option to put up 4 fingers if he is worried about 3 dongs in a row. fake injury? (or real injury) - before any AB is complete - next 3 batters get IBB. after 1 AB - next 2 batters get IBB. after 2 AB - next batter gets IBB.

for some reason i am less triggered spending $60 per ticket instead of $50 but rage when i have to spend $15 for a beer instead of $5. we need fan friendly pricing at every spot like Atlanta Falcons stadium.....

this is solved by the 3 batter rule. you can have 173 players in the pen.....

honestly to me it's not just the ticket prices. the food/beer/parking prices at MLB ballparks is what kills bringing a family of 4 to multiple games a year.

Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association engaged in a back-and-forth regarding potential rules changes to improve pace of play and discussed other measures, including a universal designated hitter and requiring pitchers to face at least three batters before being removed from a game. sorry...i may have been mistaken on what we are discussing?. i thought we were comparing all sox closers. if i have to choose any of them to pitch in 2019 at their current age i'll take eckersly..... just say no to kimbrel.
