    this. JH didnt spend the last 2 decades building the Boston Red Sox up to the #1 MLB franchise in the eyes of mostly everyone to pull some s*** like circumventing the LT by having pedroia "retire" and then hired as a "coach" for $13MM per season.

    to phillies FO he is good for $330MM. whether they are right or not is TBD. i dont know if you have ever been to a game at CBP. the balls fly out of there in warm weather. with this years baseballs + warm weather? he may hit 50.

    agreed. there is no other option at 2b right now. maybe when Holt can see again he can get some AB's vs RHP. Chavis may get some games at DH while JD rotates with Beni / JBj / Betts days off...

    nice Bump! personally i dont think i will ever complain about a 1 year contract. unless it involves a PeD user or a wife beater. i dont blame DD for trying to catch lightning in a bottle for a second season on a 1 year contract.

    if JBj does not get it going this homestand i expect the following on the next road trip: JDM/Chavis RF / Betts CF when they come back home they may give JBj another chance or it will be: JDM/Chavis LF / Benni CF / Betts RF Betts will play CF on the road, and RF in spacious Fenway Park. Benni is a terrible CF but keeping Betts in RF at home will be the priority. IMO of course...... hopefully JBj gets a few knocks this weekend to put all this on hold....

    I think Cora is going to give JBj this homestand to get going offensively. if he doesn't i expect to see this on the road trip. or JD in OF and chavis DH. my guess is a combo of both until Holt comes back.
